I know full well what custom ROMs do to eliminate google from Android, but what good does a jailbreak do for an iPhone? Wasn’t Cydia over a long time ago? I haven’t looked at iOS jailbreaks in ages so I’m truly curious.

So, begs the question, how long before companies and developers now locked out of the Twitter API/realm with their client apps, hook up to nostr and bring the same, lame experience to their users here? IDK, I kinda enjoy the “garage band” approach as refreshing.

Not sure I agree… what does it matter who/what organization is posting said news if I don’t trust that source (and I don’t, generally)? Are you talking about the outside chance any three letter agency is posting for, say the New York Times? Because I don’t trust either and wouldn’t care if the note was signed by god, I’d have nothing to do with trusting the content. We not live in a post-trust world where the only thing that matters to you is what you are able to perceive as truth, independent of “sources”.
