Introducing BTCShops.eu.
It's nice to see that we can buy soap and wine on Nostr, but this is almost exclusively for US customers. We created a platform for Europeans that aggregates quality products that can be purchased with Bitcoin.
Doing business in Europe is not easy. Endless bureaucracy, sky-high taxes, and a maze of rules are today's reality. We want to build a free economy in which small businesses are once again given a fair chance.

Planned maintenance on Thursday afternoon
On Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 14h to 17h, we plan to upgrade our data center infrastructure. During this maintenance, it will not be possible to place orders in your webshop or to use the management interface. There will most likely be interruptions and connectivity issues.
Updates are usually performed during nighttime, but in this case, this will not be possible. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
On the bright side, after the maintenance, your website will be faster (yes, even more!) and redundancy will be improved. Your webshop runs on a server cluster that is geographically spread over multiple data centers in Europe. This means that your website has redundant hosting, that your data is stored safely, and that it is protected by the EU GDPR law. Even in the exceptionally rare case that a complete data center should explode, your website and data will survive this catastrophic event.
We are aware that many of our competitors offer stunning designs. But often this comes at the expense of a technically sound website. When comparing website builders, also look behind the curtain and evaluate the website quality. We own our server infrastructure, which means redundancy, exceptional load times, and better data protection. Our websites are also free from ads, pop-ups, trackers, and other nonsense.
Last month, we successfully implemented our new API. This new update is now stable and makes it much easier to build connections with external platforms.

While the EU makes it ever more difficult for small businesses to operate, you decided to keep going. It takes courage to be an entrepreneur in this economic climate.
The shakeout of small businesses in the EU also affects us, as SME's are our primary users. When we lose customers, it's not because they go to competitors (why would they?). Every business that has to close because of mismanagement of politicians is also a human tragedy, often with dramatic implications on family life and overall happiness.

High quality product photos update
We are excited to announce our latest update: category and product
photos are now of higher quality and product lists can be customized
even more to represent your products.
When EasyWebshop was launched in 2009, we were the first provider of mobile friendly webshops. Back then, smartphones had small screens and slow internet connections. Therefore, photos were compressed and optimized for fast loading times.
By 2015, all our websites became responsive and photo sizes were increased to balance image quality and load times.
Fast forward to 2024, smartphones are more powerful and internet connections are much faster. We can now offer high quality photos while preserving ease of use and fast load times.
