I’ve read a lot of George Selgin’s stuff. Difficult reading but one of the most lucid thinkers about money. Here he is weighing in on the MMT debate, where he makes the statement that it’s not so much about money, it’s amount the command and control of scarce resources. How as a government do you do that? You control the medium with which real resource are exchanged. That includes creating this medium out of thin air, which is used by government to spend for these scarce resources.

Microsoft wrote a hash commitment to the blockchain like a good steward of the commons. And they got it done *checks notes* four years ago. Nobody uses it. Nostr already solved DID.
