The same thing we do ever week, Pinky: Selling open source encrypted hardware password managers.

So open source can take over the world!

Come one man. OSB instead of ply? What were you thinking? πŸ˜‚

Yeah, that byline is still πŸ”₯ though.

As a tool it seems roughly on par with an IDE that can do things like refactor code for you. Two key differences that stick out in my mind:

- the IDE will never get it wrong

- the LLM can do more, but it may be incorrect

Hotmail. They'll at least let you receive email without a phine number or other email address.

Or an a temporary email service like sharklasers.com or mailinator

Sundays are my day off, and I'm redefining what that means.

I was thinking it meant I would only do fun things, nothing productive, no scheduled events.

But I found myself wondering "what am I supposed to be doing today?" That's the wrong question. Instead, I'm just going to do whatever catches my fancy. That squeaky chair, now's a fine time to lubricate it. #3Dprinting? sure. IT tasks? sure, if I feel like it. Cleaning the garage? Why not?

Still no scheduled event though. I just wander.

So today I modeled and printed several versions of a box lid (this third attempt is going to nail those allowances 🀞).

Worked on some Signet tickets (mostly documentation).

Read some articles in the latest @2600 mag.

Downloaded a pre-release of Qubes 4.3, threw it on the thumb drive and installed it on a test machine.

WD-40ed my desk chair

Installed and tested a UPS for my desktop.

It was just a bunch of random things that seemed like a good idea. It was enjoyable.

I'm told the ESP based boards use a lot more power, but I can't quantify that nor have I confirmed it myself.

I'll keep posting the results of my experiments as I learn more.

I reinstalled Zeus Wallet and inserted my 24 seedphrase, and now i can't see my funds, or any transaction history or any of my closed channels. I've tried to rescan wallet, delete neutrinos, and reset express graph, nothing seems to fix.

I closed all channels with Olympus, imported my seed into another wallet (Sparrow) and moved them to another on-chain wallet.

I'm taking a break from Zeus for now and plan to come back when I can connect to my own self-hosted lightning node. Not sure if I'll try to use the embedded node again or not.

KeePassDX is the best password manager I've ever seen. It runs on Android, acts as a keyboard, and is in the default F-Droid repos.

And this is coming from someone who builds hardware password managers as a hobby. πŸ˜†

Free, self sufficient secure texting for my city.

I have:

- remote administration (over LoRa)

- batteries to power it

- solar panels to charge the batteries

And I should be able to do firmware updates over bluetooth according to the documentation.

OK, after countless hours and months of waiting for parts to arrive, I finally have a decent prototype!

Everything fits nicely. The mounting holes line up with the PCBs. The wires are messy, but that is just because it's a prototype.

Next up: many hours of testing and trying to get the current sensor reporting what the solar panels are generating.

Given that ETH Classic is already taken, if #ETH does another rollback, what will the less popular chain be called?

Dr. Mario is one of the best video games ever made. It is on the same level as super puzzle fighter.

It is possible my RAK node is going into sleep mode, but it certainly shouldn't be. I've left bluetooth on for the past 8 days because when I turned it off (on my phone), the phone thought the node had booted a few second before I connected to it.

Not sure what's going on there, but it's a reason to remain skeptical about my data.

The RAK seems to be very power efficient as compared to the heltes v3 boards. One battery pack would me about 4 days on a full charge with a Heltec.

The company said they are going to replace the one which can not be put into u2f upload mode and I'm still waiting for that to arrive (shipping takes about a month). So looks like RAK is redeeming themselves.

I think the amperage I was seeing was not from the RAK itself, but rather from the power board that I have installed with nothing wired into it. The numbers show up under the environmental sensors section, which was my clue. I'd expect those numbers to be all zeros, so that's concerning, but that's something I can look onto further once I get a second unit working.

The batteries were salvaged, but my best estimate is that they were 5Ah when new, which means it'd be a 20Ah pack.
