People are sorely missing the point of #Bitcoin's decentralization, we actually NEED to make it doable for as many people AS POSSIBLE to run a #full-node. Currently we are not even properly setup for the ability to connect to a wide list of reputable public #nodes when our own goes down. Ideally you would never connect to anyone else's node, but as a group this ideal has already been sacrificed at large. So this situation needs cleaning.
Think about it:
We're not set up for as many people as possible to run a full node.
We're not set up to connect to a reputable public node when ours goes down.
Therefore we are completely prone to centralization and trust.
Think about how many #gigabytes #IBD is today! Think of how many it will be in 10 years! Do you really think that spam on the #UTXO set filling up blocks is going to HELP this situation? Of course it will only make it worse.
Start talking about the real #issues #Bitcoin is facing.
If I had only supported him at the time he existed when I wanted to but was too afraid to, my life would had been 100x better. Although I am still very grateful for the groundwork he and others left behind

Ill argue that the difference is that centralized platforms WANT spam, it helps their end goal. Where as nostr and decentralized platform want better UX.
