Thankfully I get the sats back after whatever duration I set. I have similar stories I placed 3 1M sats Satscards in caches back in 2022 on a road trip I think about them from time to time.. Would be hard not to rub it in to your cousin “that $50 in bitcoin is now worth …” to bad you lost it..
Gave out 20 $10 bitcoin gift cards to relatives 8 have already claimed them my nephews immediately claimed it.. I’ll check on them again in the morning hopefully more relatives take the time…

Interesting idea the value could be anyone’s guess though never truly had a global scares hard asset that global value YOY will be saved and not inflated by printing or debt.
This current run of adaptation by governments, corporations etc. could hopefully lead to HyperBitcoinization and than the number of years your stack could last could double or triple..
All in all it’s pretty much speculative at this point not even at a 2T market cap yet time will tell just know you don’t have enough keep stacking IMHO 💜🫂🫡
