Thanks! 🤙
Awesome 🤙 what are the new features and any release notes?
PSA to those using the nos2x extension on firefox: "This extension is Chromium-only. For a maintained Firefox fork, see nos2x-fox"
Apparently, I just got to know that there’s a new maintained fork of nos2x for Firefox called nos2x-fox

Ah! I see. Also the other thing is Damus shows the correct reaction counts, but viewing the reaction page shows the duplicates based on the multiple clicks made.
Thanks for letting me know!
Interesting, so some clients are sending multiple reaction events for the same note/post.
Noticed that in Damus duplicates of reactions are displayed for single note or within threads

Steps to use Nos2x on iOS/iPadOS Orion Browser by Kagi:
1) Install Orion Browser by Kagi from App store (It's the only webkit browser right now on iOS that lets us install Firefox and Chrome extensions)
2) Launch the browser > Click on the settings button represented by three dots on the bottom right (...) of the browser navigation bar > Click Extensions

3) On the Extensions pop-up click 'Install Firefox Extension' or 'Install Chrome extension' > Search nos2x on the extension stores > Click add to Orion

4) After Nos2x is added > Click on settings button again (...) > You will see nos2x installed on top > Click on it > It'll take you to the nos2x options page.

5) Since no private key is setup yet, click on the 'options page' hyperlink on the nos2x extension page > Paste your 'hex' private key and tap anywhere out on the blank white page of the options page. It should save.

6) Click on the nos2x extension again from settings and you can see the public key is now displayed.

7) Open a new tab on the browser and visit https://snort.social or https://astral.ninja to login using the extension.

8) When you click login using extension you should see the nos2x page asking for your authorization to login > For this example I've clicked 'authorize forever'. You can choose the desirable options > Head back to snort.social or astral.ninja and you'll now be logged in.

9) Make a post. I have made a test post > It asks me to authorize signing of the event with your private key from the nos2x extension. Your private key is not shared with the website or store on the client > Authorize it.

10) Post successful!

Here’s a guide I wrote for iOS to use nos2x extension on Orion browser by Kagi. I also got Alby nightly extension working on it.

Glad it worked for you! I use WireGuard too to connect to my self hosted instances from my mobile on data connection. I agree, once setup it just works seamlessly. It has very low latency compared to OpenVPN and more bandwidth throughput.
Nice! Welcome 👋🤙 Also, try `@publickey` to mention or tag someone.
Damus on iOS. I alternate between snort.social and astral.ninja on web browser. Also, trying out hamstr.to and iris.to which are pretty fast too.
Nice! 🤙 that’s a pretty decent file size limit to start with.
Going to try it on Android now since the TestFlight version isn’t out yet and I don’t have xcode to build from source yet.
You’re welcome 🤙
You can open TestFlight app > Damus and send beta feedback, or even better, report issues on the GitHub https://github.com/damus-io/damus/issues
As of today, Bitcoin blockchain disk usage with blockfilter, coinstats and txindex = 544 GB + fulcrum electrum server = 112 GB. Total disk usage 656 GB. I guess I’m about 1-2 years I’ll need to upgrade to a 2TB SSD.
