gm pv welcome to my nostr crib | here since block 768753 All in on freedom tech and Bitcoin, creating the world I wish to see for my children. Plant-based + sober advocate. Post-progressive currently thinking about philosophy and political-social theories around anarchism and libertarian socialism as it relates to humanity’s global struggle for freedom in the 21st century. Societal norms come and go, was just making an observation.

The n word and r word carry weight in the US. Can’t think of many other words that do to the same extent. Not trying to sensor anyone

Sure. But some people may say hey wtf?

It carries more baggage in society than saying crazy. It just does.

There’s free speech interacting with societal norms. I don’t think it’s the slippery slope that folks pretend it is with this word

Lol I knew someone was going to call that out!

Just throwing stuff out here on #nostr. People have to admit the r word carries with it a lot of baggage in the real world, and many normies see that coming from people and think the worst.

I’m a free speech maximalist while also looking at the reality of words and their effect on people.

For a long time now at least here in the US it is quite frowned upon.

Say whatever you want, just saying it makes me and the vast majority of people in the real world think of a slur for folks with disabilities

Why do some in the #Bitcoin community love using the “r” word, which is a slur against folks with disabilities?

I’ve never seen it more prevalent in any community besides bitcoin and bitcoin twitter to describe certain things they think or stupid in the fiat world.

But having worked with folks with disabilities, to me it’s insane and disrespectful to use that word so frivolously.

Free speech and all, but just my two sats!

For those interested, the recent interview I did for Palisades Radio was the best/clearest macro interview I have done in a while, imo:

https://youtu.be/9o4javu3p1Y

We touch on bitcoin a bit at the end too. He brought up gold as the interview came toward a conclusion, and I broadened it toward gold/bitcoin and then he ended up asking about bitcoin.

Can’t wait to listen

#bitcoin hanging under 30k when it should be at $10,000,000/coin

Social media in that form is junk food that humanity finds hard to resist.

People must also WANT to engage in new and healthier ways.

An email, finding me well

Gm & Pv #nostr ☁️☕️

One day closer to making nostr mainstream. Keep pushing. Keep bringing diverse content and perspectives. Building personalized communities. Global communities.

And let’s say fuck you to Elon, Zuck, corporations, and governments that are very pleased with the current state of affairs in social media that is data-farming, censorship/anti-free speech, and promoting non-transparent algorithms that promote click-bate and negative content over authentic interaction and communication.

LFG.

Has anyone tried talking to Vitalik about bitcoin?

I just got an ad on twitter that’s “faith based news coverage, providing biblical context for the news.”

I’m an ex-evangelical agnostic atheist, good trigger twitter! 😂

#Bitcoin the freedom tech and open source protocol is inevitable.

The only people that can mess it up are us bitcoiners

If Evan is saying bluesky is a dud now man it really is. I know you’ve been trying 😂
