As many of you may know, I’ve been leading nostr:npub1fpcd25q2zg09rp65fglxuhp0acws5qlphpg88un7mdcskygdvgyqfv4sld while I also search for full time employment.
This journey began when I was laid off in June from an organization I held a senior director position at. It was gutting and a surprise to me, but nevertheless I got up and started connecting with bitcoin companies to see if there could be a match there—to not avail. Bridging my nonprofit, managerial skills I think was a bit of a disconnect for many.
Also in the fiat world, while interviews have come up and good conversations had, nothing has clicked in the right way…and it almost seems as if the universe keeps suggesting my old world and industry in nonprofit workforce development is not where I belong anymore. Not sure.
This has given me time to put 200% into The Progressive Bitcoiner, establishing it as an LLC, and pursing as much growth and impact as possible while on…yeah…no salary! It fills me with so much joy and passion and I’ve never been so excited “working” on anything in my life. If I could do this full time and pay my bills, I would.
You’ve seen what I’ve had to say on what I think we are building and the impact it will have, and I’m also asking for any support, via our geyser, zaps, if you’re a company and can sponsor, so that I can pursue this in the way that it deserves and can pay the team who works so hard on this. I won’t stop working on this, no matter what funding does does or doesn’t come, but practical paying of bills and securing my family’s future is becoming a stressor.
