Once again major Israeli airstrikes hit the largest refugee camp in Gaza, Jabalia, not even 24 hours after the first massacre, which killed over 100 people. At least 50 others were killed and over 150 injured.

Palestinians were still digging for hundreds of bodies under the rubble in the vast crater where densely populated housing blocks stood when new bombs hit. Recent telecommunications blackouts since the early morning hours in Gaza blocked the flow of information.

Israel justified the massacre of hundreds of victims by saying it hit targets linked to the Gaza ruling armed group. According to the UN, there are some 116,000 registered refugees in the camp.

◾Violent IDF raids continue across the occupied West Bank, resulting in civilian casualties in the town of Tubas. Israeli forces blew up the home of Saleh al-Arouri, deputy head of the political bureau of Hamas, even though he lives in exile. The West Bank death toll has risen to at least 124 since October 7. 1,680 Palestinians have been detained.

◾A Yemeni drone infiltrated the Israeli city of Eilat in southern Occupied Palestine.

◾Cross-border clashes in southern Lebanon continue to escalate as Israeli forces report striking local resistance group’s assets. Amnesty International has released a report confirming Israel’s unlawful use of white phosphorus in southern Lebanon.

Hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets across the world to express solidarity with Palestine as Israel's war on Gaza enters its fourth week. The protests were some of the biggest since October 7, with around 500,000 protesters gathering in London alone. Many of the protests occurred just hours after Israel announced the expansion of its air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip following the worst night of bombing so far.

The worst mine disaster in Kazakhstan's post-Soviet history has prompted the government to nationalize a multinational corporation's local affiliate.

ArcelorMittal, a steel giant based in Luxembourg operates 15 factories and mines in the center of the former Soviet republic.

Saturday's disaster the latest in a series of incidents at ArcelorMittal-owned mines killed at least 45 miners. About 200 miners have died in Kazakhstan since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, the vast majority at ArcelorMittal sites.

Trade unions, relatives of victims, and local politicians have repeatedly called for tighter government control and for the steel giant to be held accountable before a criminal court, due to its inadequate safety standards.

There have been rumors that the Kazakh government would turn the holdings over to foreign investors, which arguably forced the government to later clarify that they were nationalizing the holdings.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev called ArcelorMittal “the worst enterprise in Kazakhstan’s history in terms of cooperation with the government,” ordering cooperation with the Luxembourg-based company to be “brought to an end.”

ArcelorMittal is the second-biggest steel producer in the world, accounting for approximately 10% of the world’s steel production.

The devastating images coming out of Gaza have chilling echoes of the 1948 Nakba (Arabic for catastrophe) when Israel was established on the rubble of Palestinian towns, villages, and cities.

Then, the Israeli military forcefully expelled over 750,000 Palestinians and captured 78 percent of historic Palestine. It destroyed 530 villages and killed over 15,000 Palestinians in a series of mass atrocities, including dozens of massacres.

Like in 1948, today, Israel is destroying villages and towns across Gaza. Like in 1948, Israel is creating mass atrocities and killing thousands of Palestinians. They are also trying to grab land just as they did in 1948.

Those displaced in the Nakba have never returned. Today, there are nearly 7 million Palestinian refugees around the world.

The images of Palestinians fleeing from the North of Gaza today are hauntingly similar to those seen in 1948. That is why many Palestinians say this isn’t just history repeating itself; it is the continuation of a Nakba that never ended.

Major clashes erupted for the fifth consecutive day across Panama as police forces cracked down on massive protests against the looting of the country's natural resources by a multinational copper corporation. Security forces responded with tear gas as protesters threw stones, lit tires, and blocked several roads.

Concerned about the potential environmental damage and loss of control of their country's resources, the protesters, including many Indigenous people, are demanding the repeal of a contract allowing continued operations at the largest copper mine in Central America, representing more than 75% of Panama’s exports. The copper mine is owned by the Canadian firm First Quantum, one of the biggest copper extractors in the world.

The new contract, passed last Friday, determines that the company will pay the government at least $375 million each year, ten times more than previously. In turn, it allows First Quantum to operate in Panama for an additional 20 years, renewable for another two decades. On top of this, in 2021, Panama's Supreme Court ratified a ruling that the original concession of mining rights granted to the subsidiary Minera Panama until 2037 was unconstitutional.

◾️Resistance forces have targetted a US base in Deir Ezzor province, Syria with a missile strike after the US carried out air raids in the province overnight, Lebanon's Al Mayadeen reports. The US claims it hit two storage facilities "used by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps". Anti-US sentiment in the region continues to soar due to Washington's unwavering support for Israel. The Pentagon says there have been at least 19 attacks on US forces in Iraq and Syria this month.

◾️Israel has informed 310 families of IDF soldiers killed since October 7 of their deaths.

◾️Israeli hostages will not be released until there is a ceasefire, a member of a Hamas delegation visiting Moscow said. Meanwhile, Hamas' armed wing has confirmed that 50 of the hostages have been killed by Israeli strikes on Gaza.

The Gaza Ministry of Health (MOH) is "just a front for Hamas," according to White House spokesman John Kirby as the US campaign to undermine the credibility of the Gaza MOH intensifies. The MOH figures are the only available data documenting the death toll from Israel's onslaught in the completely isolated Gaza enclave, the legitimacy of which has been approved by the UN, WHO, and human rights organizations.

US President Joe Biden joined the accusations of questioning the authenticity of the Gaza death toll, saying he has "no notion that the Palestinians are telling the truth." In order to counter the delegitimization attacks, Gaza's health authorities published a detailed 212-page report on Thursday night with more than 7,000 names including the gender, ages, and ID card numbers of victims of Israeli air strikes.

"Human Rights Watch has been working in the occupied Palestinian territories for three decades. We've covered rounds of escalations and hostilities, and we've always found the numbers from the Ministry of Health to be generally reliable." - said the HRW Palestine and Israel director Omar Shakir.

◾️More than 6,850 people have now been killed and over 17,000 injured since the start of the Israeli bombardment of Gaza on October 7, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. Israel has fired over 12,000 tonnes of explosives on the enclave; the equivalent explosive force dropped on Hiroshima in 1945. At least 177,781 residential units have been destroyed and there have been more than 260 attacks on healthcare facilities.

◾️The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) claim that they have conducted raids into northern Gaza overnight using tanks in preparation for a widely expected full-scale ground invasion of the enclave. The IDF said the raids were conducted in “preparation for the next stages of combat.”

◾Israel is considering using nerve agents and chemical weapons to target the Gaza ruling group’s tunnels under the supervision of the US Delta Force before launching a ground invasion of the enclave, according to Pulitzer Prize-winning American journalist Seymour Hersh.

◾️ The family of Al Jazeera’s Gaza bureau chief Wael Dahdouh, was killed in an Israeli air strike on Wednesday. Dahdouh said that the killing of his family was a “targeted attack” due to his position as a journalist. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken asked the Qatari Prime Minister during a visit to Doha on October 13 to “turn down the volume on Al Jazeera’s coverage.”

◾️ Hospitals in Gaza only treat emergency cases as they run dangerously low on fuel due to the Israeli blockade. The Healthcare system in the enclave has completely collapsed, and as a result, doctors are having to decide who lives and who dies.

◾️In a press conference yesterday Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made bizarre religious references as he promised to save his nation from Iran and the Gaza ruling group. “We are the people of light, they are the people of darkness—and light shall triumph over darkness,” he said.

Al Jazeera veteran journalist Wael Dahdouh’s family was killed by an Israeli airstrike that took the lives of his wife, seven-year-old daughter, and son. Dahdouh described the killing of his family as a “targeted attack.”

The Israeli bombs hit the Nuseirat refugee camp in the center of the Gaza Strip, a supposed “safe zone” where the journalist’s family had sought refuge. Al Jazeera ’s live broadcast captured the moment when Dahdouh held his dead daughter in his arms, saying, "They take revenge on me by targeting my children.”

The attack on the Al Jazeera bureau chief in Gaza occurred as US Secretary of State Antony Blinken asked the Qatari Prime Minister during a visit to Doha on 13 October to “turn down the volume on Al Jazeera’s coverage because it is full of anti-Israel incitement,” according to one source speaking with Axios.

Watch as an estimated 100,000 Icelandic women go on a nationwide 24-hour strike in the biggest walkout since 1975. Women refused to cook, clean, or do unpaid care work. They took to the streets demanding greater gender equality and protested against the gender pay gap, gender-based violence, and sexual violence.

Known as “women’s day off” or “Kvennafrí” in Icelandic, it was the seventh such strike since the first one took place in 1975. In a country where 90% of workers are unionized, unions called on women and non-binary people to refuse to perform paid and unpaid work, including chores. Icelanders awoke to all-male news teams with public transport delayed, hospitals understaffed, and hotel rooms uncleaned as the women’s strike shut down the island nation.

In the country with a population of over 372,000 people, more than a quarter of the country gathered in the capital’s city center to mark the landmark event. The strike was acknowledged by government departments and supported by the largest federation of public sector unions, the Federation of the Public Workers Union in Iceland (BSRB) along with the Icelandic Nurses’ Association and the Icelandic Association of Women’s Associations.

New footage captured the aftermath of several devastating Israeli air strikes against residential buildings in the heart of Gaza City, which left behind gigantic clouds of smoke. 177,782 residential units have been damaged, of which 16,441 were destroyed since Israel's war declaration on October 7. Israel's 19-day day and night bombardment has already killed at least 6,649 Palestinians in Gaza, according to the latest death toll, with more than 17,439 injured.

Israeli occupation forces targeted a cafe in the West Bank city of Jenin with an airstrike. The attack occurred in conjunction with raids in Jenin and Nablus. At least 5 Palestinian resistance fighters were killed and 2 people mostly civilians were injured.

Palestinians and Israeli occupation soldiers exchanged fire throughout the night in the West Bank. Since October 7, Israeli occupation forces have escalated the situation in the West Bank, conducting multiple large-scale operations against Palestinians, arresting and killing hundreds and injuring thousands.

Israel has deliberately targeted Gaza’s healthcare system as part of its ongoing attack on the Gaza Strip. Coupled with the total blockade of the enclave and Israel’s refusal to let sufficient aid in, Gaza’s healthcare system is on the brink of collapse. Israel’s bombardment of Gaza has only exacerbated the already dire healthcare crisis in the enclave caused by the 16-year-long blockade.

Despite numerous warnings by human rights organizations and medical personnel in Gaza, Israeli airstrikes have continued to target Gaza’s healthcare infrastructure.

Israel’s repeated evacuation orders issued to 22 hospitals in Gaza are effectively a death sentence at least 15,273 sick and injured patients. The bombing of multiple hospitals in Gaza, most notably the Baptist Hospital last week, which killed over 500 people, has shown that Israel follows through with its murderous threats.

Western countries continue to deny Israel has committed war crimes despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
