◾ The death toll from Israel’s genocide in Gaza has surpassed 11,300, but Israel’s genocidal war on the enclave has disrupted communications to the extent that it is impossible to provide accurate and up-to-date numbers in relation to the death toll.

◾ The Israeli occupation forces conducted another raid on al-Shifa Hospital. They destroyed the specialist surgery building and blew up a warehouse containing medicine and medical equipment. Some 200 Palestinians sheltering at the hospital have been blindfolded, interrogated, and taken away: their fate is unknown as it is increasingly difficult to contact the hundreds of people trapped inside the hospital.

◾ Only one of the 24 hospitals with in-patient capacity is still operational in northern Gaza, the UN has warned. Israel targeted various locations across Gaza City in dawn strikes and casualties have been reported.

◾ Violent Israeli raids across the occupied West Bank continue, with at least 85 Palestinians detained overnight. As a result, there is fighting between the Israeli forces and Palestinian resistance groups in various locations.

◾ Israeli forces killed a group of three Palestinians following a shootout at a checkpoint near Jerusalem. Seven people were also wounded.

◾ The UN Security Council passed a resolution calling for “urgent and extended humanitarian pauses and corridors throughout the Gaza Strip,” with the US, UK, and Russia abstaining. The resolution does not mention the word “ceasefire.” Meanwhile, Israel has rejected the Security Council’s legally binding decision.

◾ Some 150 Jewish Voice for Peace activists rallied at the Democratic Party’s national committee headquarters in Washington DC calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. Police violently assaulted the peaceful protesters, claiming they were “illegally and violently protesting.”

Hundreds of Filipinos protesting US backing for Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza attempted to storm the US embassy in the Philippine capital, Manila. Clashes between the protesters and the police broke out before the activists were eventually allowed to protest outside the US embassy.

Renato Reyes, secretary-general of the popular activist group Bayan, told reporters the US had an “overwhelming responsibility” for the events happening in Gaza. Similar to the Middle East, US imperialism enjoys a strong presence on the island nation, prompting opposition among the populace.

◾ The death toll from Israel's genocide in Gaza has risen to at least 11,320, including 4,620 children and 3,145 women.

◾ There have been up to 40 Israeli raids every day across the occupied West Bank. During recent raids, dozens of people across the West Bank, mostly university students, have been abducted by Israeli occupation forces as their violent arrest campaign continues as well as the demolition of homes and infrastructure. Nearly 200 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in the West Bank since October 7.

◾ Dozens of Israeli soldiers, have entered the al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, the largest medical complex in the enclave using tanks and bulldozers. Around 7,500 Palestinians, including doctors, patients, and displaced people are sheltering in the hospital and remain trapped. Israel and the US claim that H@mas has used the hospital as a base but have failed to provide any evidence.

◾ Israeli air raids on homes in Gaza City’s Sheikh Radwan neighborhood over the past few days have killed at least 25 Palestinians. Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces have advanced along Gaza’s coast.

◾ The Israeli army is considering fortifying West Bank settlements with heavy weapons, shoulder-fired missiles, and other heavy combat means in preparation for the possibility of an escalation in the occupied West Bank.

◾ The Yemeni Armed Forces launched several missiles at various Israeli targets, declaring that “We will begin implementing the directives in terms of taking the appropriate measures against any Israeli vessel in the Red Sea.”

◾ Tens of thousands of pro-Israel supporters gathered in a “March for Israel” in Washington, DC, to show their support for Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza, chanting “no ceasefire” and booing calls for the war to end.

"I'm not here despite being a trans woman; it's because I am a trans woman." – Hundreds of people, including activists from the 'Queers for Palestine' group, held a pro-Palestinian protest in Union Square, New York, on Sunday to express their opposition to Israel's ongoing genocide in Gaza and to call for a ceasefire. Activists chanted "Free Palestine" and "We saw no to genocide" while carrying placards reading "Not in our names, Trans Jews for a free Palestine," "We will outlive you genocide Joe" and "Ceasefire now."

Since the start of Israel's attacks on Gaza on October 7, Queers for Palestine has organized several actions across the US. These have included a protest outside the office of Democratic Congressman Jimmy Gomez in Los Angeles and a rally alongside the American Indian Movement also in LA.

◾ One out of every 200 people have been killed in Gaza, and more than one in every 100 are injured. With Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza becoming more severe every day, forced blackouts on information and communications infrastructure are making it impossible to provide accurate and up-to-date numbers for the total death toll in Gaza.

◾ Thomas White, the Gaza chief for the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine (UNRWA), said the UN’s humanitarian operations in Gaza will “grind to a halt” in the next 48 hours unless fuel is allowed to enter. So far, at least 102 UNRWA staff have been killed and at least 27 injured since the beginning of Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

◾ Heavy rainfall in the south of Gaza led to the flooding of tents at UN shelters, posing a new problem for displaced Gazans as brutal Israeli attacks on the supposed “safe zone” in the south intensified. One man at a UN shelter said: “If our children do not die from war, they will die from the cold of winter and hunger.”

◾ Fierce urban combat between the Israeli occupation forces and Palestinian resistance groups is continuing in and around Gaza City. The UN reported that street fighting is preventing emergency workers from saving the people trapped under debris due to Israeli bombardment.

◾ In yet another wave of violent overnight raids in the occupied West Bank, the Israeli occupation forces killed at least seven Palestinians in the city of Tulkarem in the second major Israeli raid in the city in the past few weeks, raising the death toll in the West Bank since October 7 to at least 195. Additionally, another Palestinian was killed near Hebron.

◾ Over 170 Palestinian citizens and students in the territories occupied in ‘48 were arrested due to their support for Gaza on social media.

◾ The Islamic Resistance in Iraq targeted US forces in Syria in drone attacks on the Al-Omar oil field and the “Green Village” in eastern Syria.

◾ The Justice for Gaza initiative, which calls for the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate all members of Israel’s war cabinet for war crimes, is gaining traction as nearly 1,800 people have signed the initiative.

Did you know that with every bomb dropped on Gaza, Turkey makes a profit? Turkey’s steel industry plays a significant role in the global market, particularly in its trade relations with Israel. Whenever there is a war involving Israel, such as Israel’s current war on Gaza, most of the steel used in Israeli munitions comes from Turkey.

The trade dynamics between the two countries have evolved significantly since 2002, when the Justice and Development Party (AKP) came to power. Over the last two decades, Turkish steel has been key for Israel. For Turkey, the steel sector has seen rapid growth in exports to Israel, emphasizing its strategic value.

So, while Turkey’s steel industry continues to profit from Israel’s genocide in Gaza, with nearly 11,000 killed since October 7th, what does Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's claim to stand with the Palestinian people really mean?

◾ 11.240 Palestinians have been killed during Israel's ongoing genocide in Gaza, including 4.630 children and 3,130 women. 27,490 people have been injured, with more than 3.250 Palestinians still under the rubble of the destroyed homes, including more than 1.700 children. The numbers have not been fully updated due to an information and communication blackout.

◾The relentless Israeli attacks on hospitals in Gaza City continue as shelling around hospitals has increased. Several patients and medical staff were killed. The Israeli forces deliberately targeted wells and water tanks in the northern region.

◾ Israeli occupation forces arrested 50 Palestinians in the West Bank. 2,520 people have been arrested by Israeli forces since October 7. Another Palestinian prisoner has died in Israeli prison, the third death in prison since October 7.

◾ Settlers from Avigal and Matzair settlements have launched a third attack on a house in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron. Settlers from Susiya also attempted to destroy the local Internet network.

◾ Resistance groups attacked more US military bases in Iraq and Syria, including a US base in eastern Syria. Meanwhile, Hezbollah continues to target Israel Defense Forces (IDF) positions in the north. The Al-Qassam Brigades in Lebanon also launched 17 rockets toward cities in northern Israel.

◾The EU has called for an immediate humanitarian pause and for more aid to be allowed to enter the besieged Strip. Simultaneously, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said he is opposed to a ceasefire.

◾ The Israeli Ministry of Communications has moved to block the Al-Mayadeen Channel in Israel. New preventive measures have given the Minister the authority to close media offices, confiscate broadcasting equipment, and prohibit the use of communications infrastructure.

Have you ever heard of Uruguay’s Robin Hood guerrillas? The communist group raided Uruguay’s Bank of the Republic today in 1970, possibly the biggest bank and jewelry heist in history at that time.

Preliminary estimates by bank officials valued the loot at $6 million in jewels and $48,000 in cash, equivalent to almost $50 million today.

The five men and four women team were part of the Tupamaros, an Uruguayan communist organization. The basic principle guiding them was “revolutionary action in itself.”

The Tupamaros refrained from attacking the government openly but rather sought either to expose its corruption or force it to display its weakness and respond with excessive repression.

They achieved their goals by only fighting the police when forced to, and whenever their raids could potentially hurt civilians, they made a point of protecting them. Even Montevideo’s chief of police at the time had to admit they were “the perfect organization” with “good manners” and “humane behavior.”

The unique strategy employed by the Tupamaros included countless robberies where they later redistributed the food and money amongst the poor, earning them the nickname “Robin Hood Guerrillas” in the international press.

Unsurprisingly, a 1969 Gallup Poll revealed that the Tupamaros enjoyed the support of most Uruguayans, particularly the proletariat.

Following a military coup in Uruguay in 1973, Uruguay’s US-trained military forced the Tupamaros into retreat. After its main leaders were murdered or arrested, the Tupamaros turned to parliamentary politics.

Violent protests by Spain's far-right have continued for a seventh consecutive night as the government finalized its deal with the Catalan nationalist party, Junts. An armed attack earlier that day against the founder of the far-right Vox party, Alejo Vidal-Quadras, also fueled the unrest. A gunman on a motorbike shot the far-right politician, who survived the attack. The shooter fled the scene, and their identity and motives aren't yet known, though Vox claims that it may well be political.

Far-right Spanish nationalists are furious at the PSOE-Junts agreement that will grant amnesty to Catalan leaders prosecuted for 'separatism,' as well as opening the door for a referendum on self-determination. In exchange, Junts will lend their Parliamentary votes to current Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, allowing him to be sworn in for another term.

Far-right groups, such as Vox, see this pact as a 'betrayal' of Spain. Many of them were seen doing Nazi salutes, chanting 'Cara al Sol,' the hymn of the Spanish Falange dictatorship.

On this day in 1918, Germany was declared a Free Socialist Republic by the revolutionary communist leader, and Friedrich Engels' godson, Karl Liebknecht. In front of Berlin's city palace, which was now occupied by workers, he said: "the day of the revolution has come".

Liebknecht's declaration took place amidst the German Revolution, whose onset a month earlier was described by Nadezdha Krupskaya, as "the happiest days" of Vladimir Lenin's life. He anticipated that not only would it bring a decisive end to the bloodshed of WWI, but also saw it as a sign socialist revolution was spreading to the rest of Europe.

Inspired by the Bolshevik Revolution one year prior, Germany's revolution swiftly got rid of the monarchy and saw women vote for the first time during workers' councils elections in Berlin.

It encompassed hundreds of thousands of workers and soldiers who returned from the front fed up of being used as cannon fodder by their ruling classes, who in contrast were lounging around in luxury.

Tens of thousands of soldiers were deserting, and others began disarming their officers and refusing their orders, instead using their arms to defend workers' councils and strikes now sweeping the country.

Germany's revolutionaries opposed WWI and saw it as an inter-imperialist war. They committed to focus on overthrowing their own bourgeoisie instead of Russia's, Britain's or the US'. The ruling-class smeared them as Russian and British agents.

Within a few months, the revolution would be brutally crushed, betrayed first and foremost by the Social Democratic Party (SPD) which today rules Germany.

Its then leader, Friedrich Ebert, is today regarded as the godfather of German democracy.

Ebert loved the war and his nation more than he did its working class soldiers. When they refused to crush the revolution, he collaborated with right-wing nationalists in the paramilitary Freikorps, many of whom already sported swastikas on their helmets, and had participated in the genocide of Namibia's Herero and Nama peoples.

By late December, the counter-revolution was in full-swing, and it was only by the end of that month that Liebknicht and his comrade Rosa Luxemburg would form the Communist Party. A few weeks later they would be murdered by the Freikorps.

To crush a general strike in Berlin in March 1919, 1,200 workers were killed by air raids, the first time civilians in a German city were bombed.

The revolution had been crushed by the SPD and the the Freikorps, which was led by early Nazi Party members and would later be dissolved into the SA. But Berlin remained rebellious and Ebert had to go to Weimar, to found Germany's first so-called "democracy", the Weimar Republic. 14 years later, it would be replaced by the Nazi Third Reich.

Far-right Spanish nationalists clashed with Police forces outside the headquarters of the ruling left-leaning PSOE party. The far-right mob set fire to barricades, waved pyrotechnics, and threw projectiles, while riot police responded by firing rubber bullets and tear gas and hitting the protesters with batons.

The nationalists are protesting Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez's talks with Catalan parties about the possibility of an amnesty for those involved in the Catalan independence movement. The government said Tuesday's gathering attracted around 7,000 protesters, double the number that attended a similar protest on Monday.

Sanchez is negotiating with the Catalan independence parties to win their support for his bid to remain in power following June's inconclusive general election. However, the Catalan parties demand a wide-ranging amnesty that would include Catalan nationalists who fled following the failed succession bid in 2017.
