It's Labor Day and I can't help but feel for the millions of American laborers who are feeling immense pressure due to current economic conditions. Inflation is ripping, companies are laying people off en masse and people are being forced to take on multiple jobs to stay afloat.

Meanwhile, the federal government is doubling and tripling down on disastrous economic policy that will put more out of the workforce and increase the national debt considerably. The feeling of increased hopelessness is palpable.

As you take time to rest and reflect on this Labor Day I urge you to think about the effects government has on your quality of life and whether or not it deserves the influence it has. Try to imagine what life would be like without the government putting its thumb on the scale.

People convinced me to move to Signal, and then to Nostr.

Then they said Bluesky and Threads which I have resisted. I can't be everywhere.

Now they are saying Simplex.

I'm on Twitter, Email, Signal, Nostr, Whatsapp, and DMs.

Give me the Simplex case. Make this Herpes-adjacent name sound good to me. Is there critical mass there? Should my scrambled attention start to spend some time there? Tell me.

All the drama is exhausting, too many people act in bad faith, you don’t have to believe me, and you definitely shouldn’t trust me, but I try my best to act in good faith and call things how I see them.

Gotta say though, having opposing tribes attack my character in consecutive weeks makes it clear to me that I should keep pushing forward.

Key difference to KYC exchanges is there is no link between on-chain activity or a purchase of Bitcoin to the banks etc, only to the P2P partner themselves.

Still not perfect, but a massive step up! Cash or gift cards bought with cash are really the best but a bit of a PITA for sure.
