Where I live, the government gives more protections to the tenants than to the landlord. The landlord is not able to just "kick me out" like you claim. If the government weren't present, the landlord could show up and just kick me out using violence. Thankfully I am a good tenant so even without the government, my landlord would not kick me out.

Your entire premise is false from the start. The government (in Ontario, Canada) protects the tenant before protecting the landlord. I can stop paying my rent next month and probably live here another 6 months rent free if i wanted to before my landlord could even get a case in front of the landlord-tenant board. The government works for the tenant, not the landlord.

If you are going to ignore the entire premise of private property (which it sounds like you are) then I get your point of view. But to think you can watch someone pay for a house to be built (or build it themselves), that you can just go and live it for free. Boy I wish had that sense of entitlement in my day to day life.

I didn't think the commies would find Nostr so fast. It's good to see a variety of opinions on here though.

What are you talking about? If I didn't pay rent to my landlord i would just go any one of the other thousands of landlords around. No one is forcing me to do anything. You won't make me into a victim here, the landlord has no power over me. The landlord needs my money just as much as I need a place to live. There are thousands of other renters and there are thousands of other landlords. Some landlords and some renters are real assholes. Neither me or my landlord are assholes, therefore it is in our best interest to remain friends and be nice to each other.

If I stopped paying rent, legally my landlord can't evict me (thanks to the government) but you somehow think the landlord is the one with the power in this dynamic? Sorry but i have to disagree. The government where I live props up the tenant, i know landlords who have people living in their place for months without paying rent and the landlord can't evict them.

Your goal isn't to convince me (who is a tenant), your goal is to grow the amount of tenant that strike, but also your goal is not to convince me, a tenant to strike...what?

Like i said, agree to disagree. I wish you the best of luck in your grand tenant strike, you can count me out though.

Sorry but we have very different views on what the "ruling class" is.

I am very happy to pay my landlord rent as they give me a place to live and i voluntarily approached them, asking them for a place to live. They do not force me to live there and pay them.

Unlike the government which does force me to fund their shit whether I want to or not. No one asked me, i didn't consent to anything. They just take it from me. The people who take from me without asking are the rules class. Not my landlord who is an awesome person.

Also, where i work I am both boss and worker, why would I want to harm myself just to try and get the state off my back? The state is my enemy, it is the only entity in my life that takes from me without my consent and forces me to do business with it.

The goal is not to live in a classless society but one that is built on voluntary consent between people. Like i said, agree to disagree.

Things to do today:

1) Think of ways to dismantle the state

2) Relax

You think you're going to dismantle the state by following all their rules?

Of course they can try and force you. Thats what the state does.

Why is it so hard to setup a LNURL to my own node?

Not being able to create a "lightning address" without resorting to wallet of satoshi or something similar is painful.

How nice would it be if Nostr caught on?

It needs to be adopted in circles outside of Bitcoin, and even outside of cryptocurrency.

All alternative social media platforms are plagued by being centered around one thing, the one thing that spawned them (politics, bitcoin, free speech, etc). Because of this no one outside of those circles is interested in using the platform.

How does nostr bread this mold?

Excercise your body as much as you exercise your mind.

Probably a while, I imagine the contracts in place are strong, and government hates change. Why negotiate new contracts with tesla when you just renew contracts with GM?

I just want to sell my fiat and dismantle the state.

And I'm all out of fiat....

Just booked a fire arms safety course for the end of august.

Time to learn something new!

If you are putting your hope in dismantling the state in yet another politician asking for your vote.

You aren't going to be dismantling the state anytime soon.

Yesterday I didn't pay for public parking.

Starve the state.

Fuck the state.

That is all.
