Well not everyone uses #nostr. Just as an example nostr:npub108pv4cg5ag52nq082kd5leu9ffrn2gdg6g4xdwatn73y36uzplmq9uyev6 runs a bridge that lets nostr users interact with ActivityPub users.

If you’re only using your own relay, and not reading or writing to any other relays, then you probably don’t benefit from that. (Unless of course you get those bridges to read & write from your relay).

Interoperability of social media protocols is great for all. Having more users and platforms you can interact with benefits us all. Huge shoutout to the developers building bridges and other interoperability systems.

As stupid as I think #NFTs are... this kinda makes me wish #nostr had support for #NFT profile pictures 🤔: https://techcrunch.com/2024/01/10/x-removes-support-for-nft-profile-pictures/

Not sure about that client. But you probably need to add a lightning address in your #nostr profile.

Huge news on this! 🎉 I have submitted the patch for nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s to review. It’s definitely the most complicated patch I’ve submitted to #damus by far. So I’d be surprised if there isn’t a good amount of feedback and changes I’ll need to make. But I’ll hop on those as they come in, and hopefully we can get it across the finish line soon. If you’re curious, you can view the patch here: https://groups.google.com/a/damus.io/g/patches/c/gy7WlaGYRKE

Just wanted to provide an update since I said “by the weekend”. That goal was not achieved. I have a few more things I need to wrap up, before I start implementing mute duration. Then I have to do a major testing session to make sure everything is working.

Still working really hard on this. And hoping to have the patch submitted for review sometime next week. But we’ll see how that pans out.

If anyone has any questions let me know.

Mid-end of season 2 was my favorite so far. I didn’t really like season 1 at all until I decided to rewatch the entire series.

That #ForAllMankind finale was amazing (as always). Really hoping we get a season 5.

I struggled to figure out how to represent #nostr on my personal website. I ended up just using a globe icon. Which I don’t love, since it doesn’t feel like users will understand the purpose behind it. However it was the best option in a list of bad options.

Totally understand not wanting a logo/icon. But just wish there was a better solution than what I did there.

nostr:npub1ye5ptcxfyyxl5vjvdjar2ua3f0hynkjzpx552mu5snj3qmx5pzjscpknpr Curious how you’re doing this. Also would love feedback/review on that NIP PR I mentioned above.

Just posted my first #nostr NIPs proposal. Adding support for mute list expiration for items. If adopted by clients, this would allow you to mute something for a specific period of time (as opposed to the current behavior of indefinitely). Implementation already in progress for #Damus (stay tuned). https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/pull/987

Absolutely stunning ❤️✈️

nice!

nostr:npub1r0rs5q2gk0e3dk3nlc7gnu378ec6cnlenqp8a3cjhyzu6f8k5sgs4sq9acI don’t know your GitHub username (or if you have one). But I just posted a comment here about mute duration on this ticket: https://github.com/damus-io/damus/issues/856#issuecomment-1885865084

I would love your thoughts since you didn’t a bounty on the issue. And I don’t wanna move the goalposts without your approval. However there are some major technical challenges with that beyond the original title of: “Mute note with presence of keyword”.

nice!

I should also probably say. Time estimates in software development are almost always wrong from my experience. So “hoping” is the key word.

I’ll keep everyone updated if it slips beyond that. But I’m working hard on it.
