I went to a tiny church in rural Africa once. About 30 people under a tin roof with no sides, in the middle of nowhere. There was literally a guy with a stick walking around and poking any kids who were misbehaving. She gives the exact same vibe.

She'd ensure it hurt, but the sound would ensure you were embarrassed to death never mind the physical pain. I can see it in her eyes 😂

Anyone else get completely depressed at church (get teary and the stupidest of small things that one normally simply shrugs off) but seem fine most of the rest of the time? Or better question, has anyone experienced this and found the way to the other side? What did you do about it?

Yeah, hubby and I are good at compromising. We both know when a decision we disagree about will hurt the other more than ourselves and just give in.

I'm the intelligent independent (other people's assessment, not mine) type of wife too but I still like to hear this kind of thing. I might not just give in as much as Stella seems to, but that's just because I'm spoilt.

Terrorist activities are known to be higher in places with bride prices. The problem is when the older more powerful men can buy brides and young men are locked out of the system and someone offers brides as a reward for joining. I heard about a few cases of this at university. I guess it kinda checks out that the same could happen in any nation.

I believe everything is split 50/50 here unless both parties can agree to a different split before it hits the court system. The thing is you don't even need to be married for the partner to walk out with half your goods. My mum is in an abusive relationship with a guy she let move in to help her unemployable butt live well. They have been 'partners' for over two years, so he could take half of her house if she kicked him out now 😕

I'm gonna be honest with you... I still don't get it. I'll pay that delusions are dangerous but pink seems like the least dangerous of them all coz it has not agency and we can all see it.

So what did oink ever do to you? Actually, I should be more accommodating... I was a scared of a fine range of green tones when I was younger. I've grown out of it though probably about when I hit 30.
