I wonder if we are aware at how far this invasion of privacy has gone… I was thinking about something as simple as family sharing a music app. Once you do that they all know what you like and listen to. Same with an ebook app/subscription. We are told that this is normal and why would you want to keep these things private.

This makes me uncomfortable even though it’s so innocuous. Because then what next??

I had put aside many photographs that served as inspiration for me to make new paintings, but looking at them now I don't like them as much as before.

If you have photos of landscapes to offer me in good resolution, which you think deserve to be made into a painting, I will be happy to evaluate them and the ones I choose for paintings will be paid 5% of the value of the painting, should they be sold.

I think your definition is incorrect if you think that a middleman or ten in between my money and some effect is "direct."

In my definition, I directly give money to a person and receive expected goods/services.

My issue with taxation is that it is immoral. It is wrong to steal. How is taxation NOT theft? I am coerced to pay taxes or face penalties up to and including death if I (rightfully) resist. I have never once signed a contract guaranteeing that my taxes go towards anything that I might consider useful. Which, even it things are useful, it's still wrong since others wouldn't and NO ONE should have heave their earned money taken from them without permission.
