Thanks for showing your true colors on that last line. Let me put it on a T for you, you may not know what T-ball is so I won't explain. The point was/is just on the $3 processing fee to send $100 that is 3% and the lightning network fixes that. I do wish the Lighting Network to zap the shit out of both of us for this mind numbing waste of bandwidth and time and donate it to your specific Russian War victim.
I saw that too, at first I thought it was a cool little identifier for iris only. I was one click away from losing my cool @derekRoss NIP-05. That's playing dirty to me. Not cool
Dumb question. Not a hardware guy, I looked into Bitcoin Mining on an ASIC. No way now. Now I am looking at setting up and running my own Lightning Node (yeah, yeah, I am a turtle on hardware). These are between $200 - $400 to setup but what is the ROI? I would be running one for hopefully decades.
Bitcoin: "Not your keys, not your coins."
NOSTR: "Not your keys, not YOU."
To me you had to setup your "keys" on Bitcoin, no different on NOSTR.
Bitcoin: "Fix the Money, Fix the World."
NOSTR: "Fix the Social Media, Fix the Hate."
Go and Purple Pill the Orange Pilled. This web5 is a hell of a combination punch. I tried to explain it here. This revolution gives me so much hope. https://bitcoinapolis.blogspot.com/2023/03/bitcoin-dorseys-web5-is-here-layering.html
In the past, it was all about mining the data, the numbers, the charts, the graphs. This next iteration of the web5 we are witnessing here and elsewhere is about mining WORDS. What is the conclusion, don't show the charts in some stupid, boring AF, slide deck. What happened in the mice, the people, what about Bitcoin aside from price over time. What is the synopsis, in words.
This is why ChatGPT (Note Chat = Language not Numbers) and why this new OpenAI "Whisper" API are big deals. We need to bombard the naysayers of Bitcoin/NOSTR with accurate words as we chat with them, not as inanimate robots but as animated humans.
"Fix the money, Fix the world. Fix the Social Media, Fix the hate."
Today's post:
Bitcoin: "Dorsey's web5 is Here. Layering on the Layers"
bitcoinapolis.blogspot.com/2023/03/bitcoin-dorseys-web5-is-here-layering.html
From web1 = AOL (Centralized/Read Only)
to web2 = Google (Centralized/Read-Write)
to web5 = NOSTR (Decentralized/Read-Write-Execute-Full Admin rights of your content)
From web1 = AOL (Pay them)
to web2 = Google (Pay them via micropayments/AdSense/SEO/Pennies)
to web5 = NOSTR (Decentralized/Pay us via micropayments/Sats)
Old days: Likes and Followers and hopefully Advertisers
New Days: No one cares about how many likes or followers or advertisers, good content = good sound Bitcoin Money, no second best.
Fix the Money Fix the World and Fix the Social Media and Fix the World. Double Whammy.
Bitcoin says to the darkness, like a candlelight lit at midnight, "I beg to differ."
Gensler has repeatedly been saying Bitcoin is a commodity. Update from February 27, 2023:
Gary Gensler: ‘Everything But Bitcoin’ Can Be Accountable Under SEC Jurisdiction'
https://beincrypto.com/gary-gensler-everything-bitcoin-accountable-sec-jurisdiction/
"Everything other than Bitcoin," could possibly be a security, according to SEC Chair Gary Gensler.
Gensler: “Everything other than Bitcoin, you can find a website, you can find a group of entrepreneurs, they might set up their legal entities in a tax haven offshore, they might have a foundation, they might lawyer it up to try to arbitrage and make it hard jurisdictionally or so forth.”
Gensler has also claimed in the past that Bitcoin is the only crypto that could be tagged a commodity. An argument that CFTC’s Rostin Behnam has accepted to establish the agency’s jurisdiction over the virtual assets.
Due to the lack of specific legislation, the United States treats cryptocurrency as property along with several other nations. US legislators are still debating federal regulatory structures for cryptocurrencies in Congress.
Me: Yes, as Saylor has repeatedly told us why Bitcoin is : "Energized Digital Property, Money, Gold, and Energy"
Spoken only a few months ago, by Saylor but our US Goverment is a barge not a speedboat.
"All these other altcoins are unregistered securities, committing fraud, they're unethical. Ethereum included. Especially Ethereum. It's all unethical." - Michael Saylor, December 2022.
The reason our government hates Bitcoin is it requires 'Proof of Work' which is the antithesis of how politicians run America. Unaccountable but somehow still electable as they get nothing done. Faint sounds coming from the graves of our Founding Fathers... "We..forgot...Term......(inaudible)." I need ChatGPT to help decipher since we humans are now too stupid to form thoughts and sentences?
Thanks my man...NOSTR is so damn cool
Me: I am writing up a post on Web1 to Web5 (Dorsey/NOSTR) but for now, go back and watch how Brian Brooks explained Web1, Web2, and Web3 to Congress. You think it is hard to talk to your family and friends, or one-offs about Bitcoin? Watch how Brian explained things to our illustrious United States elected 'officials.' (this was end of 2021 and pre-Web5) . Brian was a lawyer/government official, lawyer/Coinbase, former CEO Binance, Current CEO of BitFury Mining. Yes, he does use the word 'crypto' or 'tokens' or 'blockchain' but every great example he uses Bitcoin. Yes, read between the lines.
Yeah, I got this on Reddit, why? I was on the Ukraine subreddit, our daughter was born in Odesa. I was blasting away, no issues UNTIL I started posting, on that subreddit, how Inida was parasitical. How they were being neutral yet buying up cheap Russian Oil. How India is parasitical IT Consultants around the world, crappy quality but the 'shareholders' like to see companies going the outsource way. Such bullshit. I know Ukraine has amazing IT resources and I heard Mexico is starting to kick ass now, anyone but India. Yeah, I got banned saying this, permanently on Reddit. A year later, I still feel the same. I am not anti India, I have Indian friends, love Indian food. I am anti-shitty-quality-white-collar-criminal-India-consultants-with-no-talent. This poster has hung in my garage for 12 years.

I got a zap from love@current.tips almost a third of a penny and I couldn't be happier.
Here is My Effort/My Story. Quit my FIAT job last year for Bitcoin and because one more day I would have jumped. 35 years of working in huge American Corporations in BI (loved the work/hated the job), 26 years+ of volunteer as a National Patient Advocate for Cancer because my wife's life was on the line (Stage IVb Cancer Dx at 31, incurable, actuary gave 7 years max. She is alive today thanks to the right doctors/best minds/mining enormous amounts of data.) Here is my formula, it has worked massively well at work and personally, go back and organize what the smartest people in the world are saying or doing about whatever topic. Pass it on to the patients or the people.
Bitcoin best minds need to be organized. Here is the start of my effort. The words spoken about Bitcoin since 2009 are the same as today. Backed by math and perfect execution. Satoshi wrote a masterpiece when it comes to his 9 page white paper.
1) That said, when people rip on Bitcoin and praise gold, click here: https://bitcoinapolis.blogspot.com/2022/12/bitcoin-digital-gold-versus-analogue.html
2) Why it may make sense to listen to Saylor on Flipping Gold versus Bitcoin being the world currency. The latter is almost pure friction. https://bitcoinapolis.blogspot.com/2022/12/bitcoin-bitcoin-as-digital-property-is.html
3) Why Bitcoin is the only Digital Commodity. (ETHeoryists hate this one) But don't listen to me, go listen to Gary Gensler (SEC head formerly professor Gensler at MIT teaching Bitcoin) and lately Rostin Behnam (Head of the CFTC - Bonus his predecessor is/was pro Bitcoin) https://bitcoinapolis.blogspot.com/2022/12/bitcoin-only-digital-commodity.html
By the way, these are 'dynamic' not 'static' documents as I am adding/updating them all the time. Opposite of Bitcoin, the timestamp/timechain appears to stay the same.
Thanks NOSTR community and Bitcoin, I finally found a home. I can feel it.
😍 So true, I am so excited, this is what Jack was trying to explain to the people on Web3 and just jumped to Web5. Web5 is the end game, like Bitcoin. Can you think of a bigger disrupter? Bitcoin/NOSTR is a nuclear disruptor and it hasn't scratched the surface
