So this year I started my sweet potato slips by half-burying whole potatos in soil and just cutting off the slips when they sprouted. I used to grow alips in a jar of water, but I like this method much better. Got some already planted, and have lots more slips slips still sprouting on the potatos. #grownostr #permies #homesteading

I'm making jalapeno poppers, but trying it a different way. Instead of wrapping the bacon around the peppers, I cooked some bacon crumbles and added them to the cream cheese mixture. So the filling is bacon, cream cheese, shredded cheese, green onions. Then I will top them with shredded cheese. Gettin ready to put them in the oven! #grownostr #foodstr

What do y'all use for cover crops in raised beds?

We love Buster the cat. He was a tiny baby when we got him, so he grew up around 3 dogs, thats all he knows. When we go for family walks on our property, he follows along, just like one of the dogs, until he tires and starts meowing. He's indoors most of the day, then likes to be outside at night. So we dont have a litterbox in the house. He comes up to one of us and meows when he needs to go do his business, so he's house broken. Buster is a good cat. #grownostr #cats
