I've yet to hear any good reason for why stables need to be on Lightning rails specifically though: I mean, if you're trusting i.e. Tether, you may as well transfer your Tether over Binance Pay. It'll be easier and faster to use the centralized service, and you can get rugged by Tether even if you're using Lightning-Tether so you're not really taking that much more risk either way.

This is already a solved problem, you just need to use a client with web of trust, like Coracle or Nostur. I haven't seen any spam since I started using the updated Coracle.

Of course, I also made it impossible for new people to find followers for people who use this feature. What should the default be for new users? I'm thinking 1 — enough to keep people safe, but a low enough bar to allow for discoverability.

I haven't used CasaOS, but it looks to be pretty much the same thing as Tipi. I.E. uses a docker-compose "app store". Up to taste which you use IMHO.
