In hindsight Michael Saylor's decision to not trust the core devs and not fund them seems fully justified.
Anyway, GM.

I went over to #Coracle during that whole debacle, until nostr:npub1utx00neqgqln72j22kej3ux7803c2k986henvvha4thuwfkper4s7r50e8 released his WoT relay.
Web-of-Trust or Pagerank (see http://npub.world) based filtering for replies would be a great addition to Primal, especially if the user has the ability to turn it on or off, or even adjust how aggressive it is, in the settings.
Yeah Coracle was exactly what I had in mind 😁
Better spam mitigation for replies, like trust scoring or something like that. It's only a matter of time to the next reply guy attack, better to be early.
I can't speak to all of continental Europe but this is a problem with most Swedes as well in my experience...
I'm getting the app to crash if I try to zap someone. I was using Amber login and NWC wallet.
> Nostr will not prove to be censorship resistant unless relays are operated over an anonymizing network, by anonymous operators.
Why not? From a user perspective you can just keep rotating your relay set if and when you are censored on one relay. There's some challenge on the client side to find the user on the new relays (I.E outbox). But I don't think what transport layer the relay is using is really relevant to this problem?
Same bros also think lending the government money for 10 years at 3% interest is a sound investment 🤡
The Sovereign Individual
Most of the bond guys think 2-3% nominal interest is enough to keep pace with inflation. 🤡
Yeah I also wasn't that impressed with Nextcloud mobile. I ended up using Syncthing instead, adding the DCIM/Camera folder as a sync folder works like charm.
Coracle does a good job of this but not prefect

That's rough, I was annoyed at the hellthread a few months ago, but I wasn't getting death threats in there. 😔
IMO this is mostly a technical problem - It shouldn't be possible to add you to a thread and then spam notifications forever. Nostr clients need to step up on this.
So far my best experience with blocking spam and trolls is on Coracle - Coracle hides replies to people you muted by default. There's also web of trust filtering on comment replies, if you set WoT to at least 1 one of your your follows need to follow them in order for you to see their posts. This is mostly for fighting spam, but this guy who's harassing you managed to get a -14 score just by being an asshole.

There's some problem with hellthread on Coracle as well, but I found that if you mute the thread in another client, Coracle will respect that. So I used Nostter and "Leave thread" button in notifications to do that.
Hope that helps, please don't spend too long on corporate social media, I need my Carl fix. 😁
I'm mostly inclined to agree. But do you think there's any chance higher tariffs could be compensated by eliminating income tax? There's been some talk about this from libertarian circles (Peter St. Onge coms to mind). Though to be fair this may just be copium.
There's actually quite robust ways to mitigate spam with web of trust or pagerank. They're just not widely deployed or talked about enough. But if you use Coracle or Iris today you see no spam.
