Not sure who hates laundry day more, me or the lab!

They were more hanging on the trees next to them. We're in Northeastern Arizona on the Colorado Plateau, so think climate like Southwestern Colorado not Phoenix. We have several other types of poplars but this one looked different than them.
The one that looks like it could be a poplar has what looks like dried black berries on it. Does a black poplar have black berries? We're new to the area but I was going to ask some of the local ranchers what they were on Sunday at church.
There are bigger versions of the autumn olive trees in the area but the open range cattle were bedding under them so I took a picture of one of a small one.
Sounds easy enough! I might just go take a few cuttings and do that.
Any tips for propagating mulberries? We just found some growing wild and we want to try propagating them.
As much as I love our thunderstorms, apparently our solar doesn't. We basically had cloud coverage all day amd we both worked on our computers so I guess I'm running the generator...

Not sure, I wasn't sure we'd be able to be on our homestead this growing season so I ended up having to get some from a local feed store and they were literally labeled red and white, so red and white ones! Next year I'll be able to plan and grow exactly what we want but I figured it's still better than anything we'd buy at the store.
Looks amazing! Life goals right there!
Just planted my potatoes today! And somehow they looked great even though they've been sitting in a bag from the feed store for weeks now!
Grateful to have 4 beds done! I'll plant the fourth bed tomorrow morning, still am not sure what I'll plant there.
Aiming to get another 2 to 3 beds done tomorrow and hoping that my husband will be able to help me dig them.
And my push goal for tomorrow is to dig a narrow bed along the south side to plant Amaranth mainly for chop and drop for the bed and potentially animal fodder.

Kind and nice are not the same thing. Nice is just a front, it's not really caring about your fellow beings. Kindness is loving our fellow beings enough to say the hard thing in caring way. I want to be know as being kind not nice. Christ was kind, not nice.

I'd rather be in the minority than the majority when it comes to my spouse though!
I've never understood why someone would be happiest when their spouse is gone. I'm also happiest when he's home, that's part of why I married him.
We went to a "lake" (it's really a glorified tank) by us and discovered that there are what we belive are mulberry and autumn olive trees all over. I might be trying my hand at softwood propagating later this summer! Anyone have any tips for a newbie?

Something useful for the zapathon!

I'm so excited for my Egyptian Walking Onions! Once our beds are all done I'll see about transplanting them all over our garden... we may really like onions!

Something is wrong! I can't zap anyone!
