Father, Bitcoiner, Small Business Owner, Relatively radicalized from Canada’s government since 2020.

I’ve missed dumps of this magnitude and velocity. This is Bitcoin the way I remember it. It’s like medicine for my soul.

Thank you! Works like a charm. I really got a rush being able now run my own lightning node and receive zaps all in a self custodial manner.

I think Canada would splinter into many states. Starting with their larger provinces that are more aligned with America as it is; Alberta and Saskatchewan to start. Them cleaving off could force/encourage/incentivize British Columbia to join too.

If I use @albyhub with LND on my @start9 is that running my own lightning node? I had to open up a channel and have adequate liquidity. It all works. It feels like it’s the real deal. But are there any areas where I’m relying on some entity?

“The right to write on the ledger…”

The fact that we can simply buy bitcoin, privately and securely, holding in self-custody, is a massive honour and privilege. We are the lucky generation at the genesis of it all. Absolutely incredible. And to do so on the base layer… amazing.

The clip below got me thinking. 🤔

As #bitcoin continues is adoption phase and monetizes various forms of capital currently held in a variety of more physical and/or more fiat forms of capital preservation, the physical world could begin to look a little rough over a significant period of time. As the capital is sucked out of buildings, bonds, etc., the entropy of the universe will continue is never-ending onslaught.

Capital being preserved in the vacuum of cyberspace, relatively frictionless in regard to the forces of entropy will not be deployed into physical space until the right conditions present them selves.

Living in 🇨🇦 right now, after a 10-year Trudeau socialist/communist ideologically driven high student council running the show, intentionally missing dozens of mega-infrastructure projects around the abundance of resources we have, feels very heavy. The dark is dark. The taxes are suffocating. It’s driving all forms of capital out of the country. This won’t turn around quickly. Thank God for #bitcoin !

The healthcare system (fReE!) is rough. No signs of significant development on the horizon. Cost of living ⬆️, standard of living ⬇️. Heroes will be forded in this time.

I’m 42 years old with a young family. It still makes sense for me to stay here for now. But this life will be an adventure no doubt! I’m here for it, I’m ready. LFG!

A part of me really wants to become the 51st state. Canada’s natural resources and overall territorial boundaries would be a massive contribution.

It’s interesting, the infamous book, The Sovereign Individual, the author describes how Canada could be one of the first states to dissolve.

The Canadian wokies would probably physically dissolve as well. A sight to be seen!

Ok, this non-technical man has successfully connected his lightning node to his #nostr with the ability to send and receive #zaps

Sovereignty level upgrade achieved!

Ok, I can now send zaps on Damus (Primal doesn’t connect as easily) with my Alby Hub on my Start 9, now can i receive zaps?? ⚡️ please 🙏🏼

Next stage is you drink that and get in a float tank!

nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a Was there an era when sound money was more adhered to and productivity was accelerating such that prices actually went down? Can you point me to any resources of this era?? Is it in your book, “Broken Money”?

The Moose Shekel Standard is an unprecedented examination of the Canadian economy, unveiling the true reasons behind the fragility of the Canadian dollar and the shocking ripple effects of monetary policy. This rigorous exploration dives deep into how Canada’s economic backbone—once as sturdy as an ancient pine in a boreal forest—has become vulnerable to shifts in global trade, government decisions, and an overreliance on maple syrup reserves.

Readers will gain insight into why the fabled “Loonie” has lost its lustre, how consumer behavior has adapted to a fluctuating currency with surprising levels of trust in roll-up-the-rim economic predictions, and why Canadians have come to see igloos not just as homes but as shelters against fiscal storms. With compelling analysis, The Moose Shekel Standard also explains why trusted Canadian institutions, from the central bank to hockey arenas, have been forced to reckon with seismic changes in public confidence.

This work doesn’t stop at policy. It goes beyond to assess how monetary decisions impact the very fabric of society—from Tim Hortons pricing strategies to the new wave of products that emerge as people scramble for value in uncertain times. By understanding the monetary underpinnings of Canada, readers will be better prepared for a future where moose antlers and winter parkas might become the most reliable stores of wealth.

For economists, policy enthusiasts, and the Canadian public alike, The Moose Shekel Standard offers an indispensable guide to navigating a world where economic policies meet subzero temperatures and politeness is as non-negotiable as fiscal reform.

I’m a Tim Hortons franchisee. Can you clarify your comment on Tim Hortons pricing? I’m curious as to what your perception and/or knowledge could be.
