Parents had Allstate, and they didn't cover a freak fire in their truck cab. They had just purchased it for cash at $17k, and that while thing went up in smoke.

Yes, mandatory insurance also artificially inflates the prices of cars and homes. If you didn’t have insurance, how much risk are you willing to take on? Probably much less, lowering overall demand.
I worked for the corporate side of a giant US insurance company, and the level of waste and inefficiency is absolutely mind boggling. They love to make themselves the hero’s but will do absolutely everything they can to wiggle out of paying claims. Disgusting.
The good news is so many people have been scammed by shitcoins, the majority will never hear the word “tokenize” again and not instantly think “scam”. Thanks shitcoiners 🤣
I’m really loving the ability to login from one nostr app to another with the same account, but without all my personal data being siphoned by an SSO provider like Google. I think if we get more high quality content across different apps, it will go a long way.

Totally fair and is primarily how I use it as well. But the normies I talk to always think of it as a “when should I sell” type investment and not an opportunity to build an entirely new financial system and why that’s important. Initially, I was more for the vote option, but I think you make some really good points. My biggest gripe with the inflation slogan is that I don’t think a normie is going to think of bitcoin in any way besides an investment with that slogan. I liked the vote slogan because it insinuates that you have an option and that’s a different solution to the problems we’re facing politically. But you’re right that bitcoin is separate from politics.

I’ve been using the iOS app and decided to try the web app from a browser to see what the experience is like. I can sign in and view my feed, but i can’t zap from the browser. Is the built in iOS wallet only available there? Do you plan to make them sync up better in the future?
