I’m haunted by this constantly. I’ve never worked in a govt of any kind, but have had numerous corporate jobs where I don’t do shit, and even if I tried, it would be squashed by the bureaucracy. It becomes a game of “do I put in effort when it immediately becomes worthless?”
Every time I find myself in this situation, I quickly become miserable. I try to just ride the wave and spend my time focusing on other things, but I hate earning money for work I know is subpar. It hurts my soul.

Growing up, my N64 was my favorite gaming console. So many classic games that I thoroughly enjoyed.
When the switch came out, I was super excited about it. But I soured on it because of how Nintendo does a lot of their business.
It would be really cool to be able to use Nostr or something similar to forever establish ownership of media and give me a way to prove that ownership later on and redownload that media as needed and be allowed to use it anyway I prefer, on whatever hardware I desire.
