Mostly yes. We’ve been using discord for years to chat and we’re all over it. We’ve been discussing setting up a Matrix server but it seems like using Nostr might be a better solution.
I was playing around with Flotilla and it’s an amazing client, but I don’t want to see other groups on the relay.
We could do encrypted groups and use 0xchat but then it’s just a single room and we break into topics often so the Discord like experience makes more sense.
Sounds like you want Aegis, just without the option for folks to get access by paying. I believe Aegis allows you to manually whitelist npubs.

Not aware of any out there that will send an invite link.
I looked at Aegis but couldn’t tell if it did. I could use a nip29 relays but limiting access is a must in this case.
Currently running a private relay, but looking to start up a private, invite only relay for myself and a group of friends.
1. Not looking for anyone to pay for entry
2. Preferably it’s just an invite link, but if I have to manually add npubs that will do.

What if instead of writing a note that you either want to edit later or delete you instead write a note in "publishing client" that then generates a nostr client renderable URL and it's that URL that gets sent as a note.
You don't know it's a URL because you just see the rendered note in the nostr client.
If I go back and edit the note in my publishing client the URL remains unaffected but the next time someone looks at my note what renders is the edited content of that very same URL? Think of it like the URLs from nostr:nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7etyv4hzumn0wd68ytnvv9hxgqgdwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkcqpqhee433872q2gen90cqh2ypwcq9z7y5ugn23etrd2l2rrwpruss8qxc5787 's GifBuddy: You don't see the URL you just see the rendered gif naively as a note like this
This would probably necessitate that you have to keep your own dedicated hard drive space for the notes or may leverage something like blossom.

Cool suggestion but I kind of like how nostr:npub1n0sturny6w9zn2wwexju3m6asu7zh7jnv2jt2kx6tlmfhs7thq0qnflahe set it up: post note, give a few second countdown to cancel the note, or just leave it alone and it posts.

Signed up for a yearly plan, just to support the project. My use cases for LLMs are very particular so here's some things I hope to see in the future:
1. Nostr login support
2. File upload support for data analysis (pdfs, etc). Integration with a Blossom server a plus.
3. Image generation (preferably with the ability to save to a Blossom server lol)
4. Web search. LLMs are great for analyzing data and providing context, but they are even better when they can crawl the web, particularly for specific types of problems.
