I didn't vote for him either time but #Trump is entertaining π

I would be very interested in their theology, if they have such, and what they believe about their origins, and purpose and everything. The big questions. Do they have a Messiah and did he/it ever visit their planet?
I wonder what nostr:npub1alpha9l6f7kk08jxfdaxrpqqnd7vwcz6e6cvtattgexjhxr2vrcqk86dsn thinks, and what he thinks of this idea? π€
That, and with the 2024 election coming up, the powers that shouldn't be have to stir up mayhem to ensure their grip on power...π©

Just saw a church sign that read "Pumpkin Spice Communion is Here!" π
United Methodists, of course...
Then I see a Baptist church that instead of a cross had an ankh atop it!
The I.R.S.?! Social security numbers? You still trust the government?
Study history and you may learn that voting has been fraudulent from the beginning. The U.S. Constitution itself was passed by shady means, by only a fraction of the citizens, after the Founding Fathers had met in secret, with the records of their meeting not published for decades thereafter. Elections and "just electing the right people" aren't going to save us.
A couple of thoughts from today's daily #Bible listening:

New Testament: Acts 4:1-6 β Peter and John Before the Council
"And as they were speaking to the people, the priests and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees* came upon them, 2 greatly annoyed because they were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection from the dead. 3 And they arrested them and put them in custody until the next day, for it was already evening. 4 But many of those who had heard the word believed, and the number of the men came to about five thousand. 5 On the next day their rulers and elders and scribes gathered together in Jerusalem, 6 with Annas the high priest and Caiaphas and John and Alexander, and all who were of the high-priestly family...."
(* the Sadducees were are party of Jewish priests who did not believe in resurrection. That's why they were sad, u see. π)
The early Christians had to be freaking out because this was the same group that had arrested #Jesus and then had Him executed just weeks earlier. Perhaps they feared now Peter and John were next. But as God would have it, they were released and lived to preach another day.
Stephen, however, would be martyred soon thereafter and become the first Christian martyr, Acts 6-7. I wonder if any of the Christians at the time thought that he might be soon resurrected, like Jesus was? The fact that he wasn't shows the uniqueness of the death and resurrection of Jesus, who is the "firstborn from the dead" and the "first-fruits." Stephen's time will come, however, at the last day.
Acts 4:34 (ESV): "There was not a needy person among them..."
I think this is great, and how it should be in the church. (And if you are homeless or needy, start following Jesus and join the church and see if your life doesn't turn around).

Unfortunately "limited-government" seems to be an oxymoron. The United States started out as what was supposed to be a limited government and has grown into the largest government in history (and most dangerous).
The idea of being a republic also has to be let go. This comes from ancient Rome, and like Rome, the United States was transformed from a republic into an empire ruled by a powerful executive.
True freedom would require the absence of a State, and a voluntaryist, private property society.

They were both founded by their prophet, who said he received his revelation from an angel.
They are both okay with multiple wives, and their prophet had multiple wives, and some would say their prophet was a scoundrel, but I'll be courteous.
They both claim to have an additional revelation after the Gospel.
No drinking allowed.
Certain dress requirements.
There are probably others, but I'm not very familiar with Mormonism. And obviously there are differences. Mohammedans are strict monotheists, while Mormons are polytheists...
(No offense intended to anyone)
Today I heard Mormonism described as "the American version of Islam." I had never thought about it that way before, though I can see some parallels.
What an awesome article, Brother.
Have you read any of my writings against the state?π€

I recall reading at least one of them after I first heard you interviewed on the Bad Roman Podcast, and that was before I got on Nostr. I haven't read enough of them, though. Thanks for bringing it back to my attention π
Calling "Native Americans" Indians is not accurate, either, though. That just perpetuates Columbus' mistake.
Floyd Mayweather just helped me to see a good point and change my terminology:
To echo what Chesterston said of the Christian ideal: Liberty has not been tried and found wanting. It has been found difficult; and left untried.

Are humans learning this lesson finally? Americans? This is the next step in the march of freedom. It's either this, or we sink into a worse, totalitarian slavery aided by technology than humanity has ever experienced before...
