The first time I ever stepped foot into United States was on the 4th of July. I didn’t realize it then, but looking back it feels symbolic.

I will never forget that day. We flew into Chicago. I recall seeing the city Skyline and the shores of Lake Michigan. A sight to behold.

I knew nothing of racism, of left, of right. I only saw people. A diverse people. A kind, and welcoming people.

I also recall being amazed at seeing grocery stores full of food and you could just pick up anything you like and put in a basket / cart. It was just sitting out there… and you could walk among the isles and grab anything your stomach desired. So much food.

Little did I know, on this day we would eat a lot of food and be around warm and welcoming people.

We’d also go on boats, eat some more food and enjoy the fireworks. So much food.

It may be imperfect in so many ways, but it is the nation I feel most at home.

When you're in the system, and you measure from within that system, have sunk costs, have recency bias and several generations hopping on how real estate is an investment, its very hard to see the scam, theres all the "social proof" too and an entire industry of bankers and realtors that make a living perpetuating this nonsense

it will be competing on a sovereign state level

payments to add a cost to spam make sense - this is how bitcoin works with transaction fees - elon knows this but his goal is much larger than fighting bots - the more data he has on users and the more reliant they are on him, the more valuable they are

I think one of the best things that could come out of Bitcoin demonetising assets is absorbing capital forced into real estate as a store of value and a vehicle for speculation, where it returns to a utility for people and we see land being used productively and within reason, not to try and flip for a profit, or rentseek or collaterlised to speculate further

It has really caused so much damage to people, putting people still in homes under so much stress, forcing people to move and leave their homes to seek affordable living and keeping generations from forming families because they can't have a place to call their own

I'm glad Bitcoin exists and gives us hope and an option, because the only other method of redistribution of land if we look to previous instances, is a bloody transition

elon plans to verify all twitter users - identification requirements will get more aggressive over time - this makes them more effective data slaves and breeds compliance culture among users - it is easier to monetize cattle than free men
