They just need more central planning, that will solve everything :).
Capital controls, how cute.
You could take out some cash too and buy bitcoin with that, but I guess there is a limit too.
You could buy from someone via wire (bisq etc), but yep this someone could be already flagged and your "suspicious behaviour" could trigger an investigation by the banks.
Yep, the doors are closing.
Mimochodem, kdyz se rozhlidnete okolo sebe ve vasi obci/kraji, vidite skvele opravenou a vychytanou infrastrukturu/verejnej prostor?
Rizeni chovani, co stat nechce aby lidi moc delali, to vic zdani.
Czech govt is discussing using the pension funds and other "idle" money to fund infrastructure projects. They say the interest/yield will be competitive and risk "zero".
But some of the wording *feels* like they'd really like to get to the "idle money" in some less transparent way. Will the money on a bank account not only be "fractionally reserved", but also mostly transformed into govt bonds?
Russell Napier speaks about it in this video, saing Japan will probably go this way rather soon. "Saving institutions will be forced to invest in govt bonds".
Mayt this is deepfaik porn you have there, may ai snitching app says so! Directly to jail!
The same as everywhere else.
That's also why the (big) media continue loosing the influence/trust. No politician nor DSA will change that. Also for the important stuff, some kind of decentralized social media (protocol) will take over because in the end Twitter will be regulated to death. The incentives for the states are too big and they will just pile regulation on regulation until the platform stops being usable.
Decentralized protocols like torrent, bitcoin and maybe nostr are unkillable. Govts will have to go after the users. AI might help with that, but users will adapt fast.
I think that in the end any state eventually turns authoritarian, because the good times don't last forever. So the only hope for freedom is technology that enables an individual to hide from govt and run circles around it when needed.
Novy trestny cin, check notes, pouzivani svlekacich aplikaci.
Ze ja sem te videl pouzit photoshop!
“Ale PruSká kAdeTkA NEní sYstéMoVý ProBLém, jE to O LiDeCh!”🤪
Očekávám tenhle a podobné argumenty v komentářích.
Predal bych ten papir pani Blumenthalove a uz by me tam nevideli.
Can't wait to save some pennies with a lot of work.
BTW I don't know about other countries, but here in Czechia, the supermarket and most "farmers market" tomatoes are uncomperable to what I get from my garden (watery, a fraction of the desired taste). Even when I was living in Spain for some time, what you could buy at the farmers market was only 70-80% there. Pretty good, but no cigar.
So yeah, it's not about saving money, it's about rejecting fiat tomatoes :).
I'd say it's similar to any other eu country. Denmark and Netherlands for example have some very socialist laws dealing with real estate while there is nothing similar in place in Czech Republic. Yet :).
Also freedom of speech, while being attacked (mostly from the EU), is still going strong IMO. If you read czech twitter or speak to someone in the streets, they will tell you what they think pretty bluntly.
Taylor Swift is doing what now?
Oh it's the other Swift. So they are trying to develop a solution for various central banks so there is one interoperable network instead of many incompatible ones. Launch in 12 to 24 months.
"Its latest trial involved central banks from Germany, France, Australia, Singapore, Czech Republic and Thailand as well as a number that requested to remain anonymous.
A raft of heavyweight commercial banks including HSBC, Citibank, Deutsche Bank, Societe Generale, Standard Chartered and the CLS FX settlement platform all took part too, as did at least two banks from China."
But I thought the Czech central bank has abandoned any CBDC effort as there is no need for it. 🤔🤔🤔
