Well my question is how will that be worked out if hypothetically, the internet is gone for good? Sure, everyone can start from scratch and make more money again, but whatever you had before, if it was all online, might as well be gone. My overall point is that everyone is just as f’d as everyone else if the internet goes down. We as a species will always find a way, so on that I don’t disagree with you 💯
Yes for sure. Not arguing that they can go back to the old ways. But the day the internet goes down, do you have paper statements at home in a box to go to the bank and prove your balance? If not, then everyone who doesn’t will essentially have $0 if you can’t prove your balance, or if you have zero cash at home.
When you go to ask for all of your money, how will you prove your balance? And will they just give you all of your money if say, you’re asking for $10,000? While everyone else also wants their money?
I love the argument of “if the internet goes down tomorrow, so does your bitcoin!”.
If the internet goes down tomorrow, how are you getting your cash out of the bank? Do you print daily paper statements to prove your balance? Are they going to let you into the vault and say “yes sir right away sir!” when you ask them for all of your money? (hint: they won’t even do that now)
