Well, here's my analysis: dude's gonna win. It doesn't matter if you or I dislike him or anyone in this conversation dislikes him, he's going to win. This was the case before he went to the LP convention, so then why did he do it? Why would the favored candidate to win go and make extra promises to people not loyal to him that he didn't need to make?
There's something else brewing here. I think the Rs are trying to merge in the LP because they see the direction their party is going and the two somewhat align. Also this might be a play to take NH and pad out the national lead the guy already has. Also there's the fact that since around 2012 the R party has been moving slowly libertarian, not quite all the way but inching their way in that direction.
From a libertarian perspective: the dude is primarily responsible for the fact that we have the Bruen decision that ultimately negates all gun control in the United States. That's a pretty big win. We can talk about end the fed and all that, and I hope that happens but a win is a win, it's not a promise, it's the reality we live in now.
Wouldn't it be cool to have a L at the end of a president's name? After the R, of course, you take what you can get lol. I don't vote as a rule, on principle, but I still would enjoy seeing that.
Ultimately I think the dude is going to get most of the libertarian vote, big L and little L alike, and was going to anyway. I don't really think our little discussion here is going to change much on that front. And I do think if he wins, he's going to free Ross. I hope to see assange and Snowdon pardoned too, but I don't hold a lot of optimism there.
What promises did he break? Did you support him and then get disappointed or something?
This dude just promised to free Ross Ulbricht. Fucking wild man.
You drink gruel. Right?
These are the kind of people that take food for granted because it comes from the store, the kind that think everyone deserves free toilet paper.
If motorcycles were invented today they'd be illegal. People talking about "normalizing regulation" and "clarity", "preserving innovation" are tools, it's a propaganda sales pitch. Regulation *always* stifles innovation.
Good evening.
A couple hours ago, I released my first ever album, a self-titled one at that, just as I had announced a couple of times.
It's on Wavlake for those based enough to check it out on there, as well as YouTube for those wanting to not use Wavlake.
It's here, and has a bonus you can only find on Wavlake: https://wavlake.com/album/2b7fc111-8717-4539-9900-3b6366c63e2c
My wife thinks your music is cool as shit, her words.
That's a good starter? I don't see what you're talking about. That blog teaches me literally nothing. I'd like to see your point, see what you mean, but just reading a guy connect the black panther guys death to the shooting of the Slovak prime minister and Yale university with green and orange numbers on the screen is not going to enable me to "use gematria in my own life." Where's the explanation of how to actually do whatever it is he is doing?
I looked for some info on this and found an article here https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-13439025/influencers-debunk-sunscreen-link-cancer.html
Funny stuff from the article: a doctor interviewed by WSJ says that just because there are carcinogens in the sunscreen doesn't mean they're doing anything bad, and my favorite, to develop thyroid tumors you'd have to put sunscreen on your whole body every day for 30 years, which is 1) less than the time it takes to develop skin cancer, and 2) exactly what you're encouraged to do if you go out in the sun every day.
Also, a doctor towards the end says that tans are the ourward manifestation of sun damage, which as far as I understand only applies to white people. For everyone else, it is evidence of an increase in melanin content in the skin, a defense against UV damage.
I also find it funny that I'm seeing displays in grocery stores and the like for sunscreen with pictures of black people on them. I've read recently that there's a marketing push by sunscreen manufacturers to target brown people because they have no room for growth, the entire market for their product already uses their product. Why you'd try to push a product onto people that don't need it if you're a serious producer of something some people really need I don't know, but such blatant dishonesty is a quick ticket to becoming viewed as a snake oil salesman.
I think all in all, probably people ought to 1) get a little sun exposure daily if possible, 2) protect themselves from the sun if they're going to be exposed for long periods, and 3) not apply compounds to their skin that contain god knows what nonsense like benzene compounds and other assorted garbage. A hat, long sleeves, maybe some zinc oxide should do you just fine.
Look it up? I'm bound to not find accurate information. You seem to be convinced that you do have accurate information, can you help me out and share it with me?
Why doesn't it work now? You think an armed populace is no longer a deterrent to tyranny?
Never is a strong word man...
The threat of guillotines works very well. You don't want to do it, but it's not much of a threat if you won't do it. People who cheer for guillotines are stupid, but people who refuse to consider them are destined to be enslaved. Violence must always be an option of last resort and preparedness must be maintained. You aren't peaceful if you're incapable if doing violence, you're simply helpless.
Like calm down..... the major issue is hundreds of people using fresh unaudited binaries in security sensitive conditions, not that there might be 2+ networks. Free market competition is good. nostr:npub1m5s9w4t03znyetxswhgq0ud7fq8ef8y3l4kscn2e8wkvmv42hh3qujgjl3
Calm down about what? I never said competition was bad.
Anyway, it looks like HardenedSteel shut down their attempt. Hopefully more people decide to give it a shot.
At 11:27 a.m Eastern time today May 14th 2024 governments around the world lost full control over #Monero because now a haveno network called reto is fully online. https://monero.town/post/3143272
it is the Monero version of bisq.
As of this time, two transactions have already occurred, and at least one of them was just a successful test.
They havent ost full control, they still have plenty of leverage.
1) most of these fiat trades are bank transfers,
2) they're trying to squeeze out and criminalize cash already anyways.
But it is a good step, it means we have more leeway to do our thing.
CIA agent with heart attack gun pointed at the sniper: "there are no rules when you threaten real power"
This is hilarious on so many levels. The US is now talking about sanctioning India 🤣🤣🤣

It tells you what's going on.
India knows it will become the most powerful economy in the world within the century, it's starting to do whatever it wants. The US can't throw it's weight around so much anymore, it has the military but that's it, and it can't just use it willy nilly. They won't sanction India, they are bluffing. Weaponized US economic policy is blowing up in its face.
That's kind of cool. I wonder how many people are going to use this.
