The reason the double-standard makes sense is because it usually isn't hard to get attractive men to take their clothes off for you.
That's like asking someone working at Subways to make a sandwich. They're literally just waiting around, hoping you'll ask.
I'll raise you your two fleeces by a black band T-Shirt and some antistatic shoes.

Sort of the opposite to following Karnage. π
If only I could use Amethyst to block out men exposing themselves IRL.
When Amethyst Glasses? π
Yes, I actually am less-likely to get flashed on Nostr than on any other media, now. The curation tools have gotten quite good, especially on Amethyst.
You can see or not-see anything you want.
Ugh, the furries. π Good call.
No, I don't want to see your nudey-boys.
Men taking their clothes off inappropriately just reduces the amount of information I am receiving, to determine how attractive I find him, and increases my suspicion that he lacks discipline.
You have mistaken me for a feminist. I have no problem with double standards that make sense.
That said, I tend to unfollow or mute npubs that regularly post nudes, of either sex. It's tiresome and an unnecessary distraction in my feed.
No, I mean their urge to strip is ghey.
I want the boss, not the boss' rent boy.
No, thanks. Male stripping is sorta ghey.
Yes, the wine relay is quite inexpensive and it gets you a trial for the filter that is built on top of it.
I have taken to recommending it because I hardly need to mute anyone, anymore, and it makes it so easy to find good follows. Everytime you follow someone, their follows start to appear in your own timeline.
So, it feels like inching forward in the dark.
Same with the live-streaming stuff. It floods the conversations, for spans of time.
How can I mute a chat on #Amethyst ?

Curate your feed:
- only follow people who post things you want to see or use lists to only see a limited selection of npubs in your feed
- manage your relays!!!
- use the wine filter to slowly expand your follows
- mute/block npubs who are too aggressive or annoying
- report atrocious or threatening behavior
For over three decades, I've been waiting for them to explain to me why sexism never seems to hold me back and when tomorrow will finally arrive because I have some open tickets they can pull.
I actually have a working theory that nobody actually believes this. It's just a way to bully girls who enjoy technical or abstract stuff, by making it seem like their being nerdy has no upside.
You're not special. You're just unpopular and weird. The cooler chicks simply haven't gotten around to it, yet, because of sexism.
But tomorrow... tomorrow...
or perhaps the day after tomorrow...
Maybe next week...
