This is going to be an unmitigated disaster for Europe, who lacks domestic refining capacity "ew dirty oil refineries" and buys like 40% of their refined diesel from Russia.

AFAIK Trump has a pretty solid chance right now, but it would be so easy to buy him off, give him a chance to look like he's winning, etc.

He is NOT ambitious in the sense of Alexander, Napoleon, or Caesar.

What distinguishes him is that he causes a pavlovian reaction in the left, they lose their minds and start acting utterly irrational in his presence, and end up destroying a lot of their own institutional power.

The author of anarchonomicon calls this an "auto-immune disorder", they attack themselves.

If we have Trump v. Harris & RFK - shut out by the Democrats - makes an independent run, there's no amount of cheating which will give Harris the win.

It's the first time I've ever tried to assemble something and it was actually wrong, it's not the first time I've had to backtrack a bit because *I* messed up.

These things are tricky even if you follow all of the instructions in excruciating detail !

Tonight, my wife and I were assembling some drawers (Ikea type thing). And believe it or not we found a manufacturing defect !

The drawer backs have holes drilled 1/4 cm off center, probably so that if you install it upside down it will be very obvious. Well, one of the holes is 1/4 cm off center in the wrong direction making it physically impossible to assemble πŸ˜‚

It's pretty clear to me that the guy at the factory just put it in the jig upside-down, because there are 2 holes that are supposed to intersect; one is drilled in the right place and the other is missing by 1/2 cm.

I wonder how many people got this and just thought they're too stupid to assemble it.

I think there's a subtext in Descartes's "je pence donc je suis" which basically implies that those who do not question are not real people.

The illuminati wants to make you pay for special glasses just to sungaze, it's already beginning.

nostr:npub1mh5a6mhm4u78glqxhltq7uexv6kddphycthlguvn0ux8ch72tc8q6q233h I know well about these tv shows in Latin America. They are owned by rich oligarchs that don't want to pay taxes and just bash all left wing politicians 24/7. Even inventing scandals about them to sabotage them at polls. Normally what irks the rich is their wealth being taxed to implement some sort of social policies that are non existing in Latin America

The "rich" you're referring to are the Kulaks. The real rich don't care if the government is leftist or right wing, as long as they control it.

I was thinking exactly that.

Hispanics look like they have no opinion of blacks and asians at all, but they know white people are not worthy of any respect.

Whites are the least respected by anyone else lol

I wish I was smart enough to come up with a good response.

Wow that chart fits good

I don't think oil is actually getting more scarce, it's just that dollars are getting a lot more plentiful.

England is a joke.

And just like that, my interactions are back to 1 or 2 per day. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

European chickens are vaccinated against salmonella (not done in the US) and salmonella outbreaks are unheard-of here.

I think the most likely explanation for the fact that some kind of vaccination is implemented in every country in the world, is that most vaccines are at least moderately effective, though they also do some amount of harm - sometimes a lot.

Business idea:

1. Collect 25+ year old cars from the US and Europe (cars which were US legal).

2. Ship them to a low salary country (e.g. Pakistan / India).

3. Fully recondition them: new body, new interior, a few small digital upgrades.

4. Ship back to the US, importing under the 25 year old classic car rule.

5. Sell them as refurbished no-nonsense simple cars from a more simple era.

nostr:npub1mh5a6mhm4u78glqxhltq7uexv6kddphycthlguvn0ux8ch72tc8q6q233h It's very positive if the Africans could get something in return for their resources as opposed to only getting inundated in debts in payments for the vital resources they possess. Some bridges, roads maybe some electrical infrastructure. Even trains and railroads. It's only justice. I doubt the world can afford to pay them in full though even the Chinese and Russians.

I doubt things will get a lot better for them on account of switching masters. Russia can't afford to be any nicer to them than the US can. Markets, nature, and geopolitics don't give out participation trophies.

Having contested territory MAY give them some small edge, but it is unlikely. What is more likely is that their territory will be "nominated" as a battlefield for a proxy war.
