You can broadcast others notes to your relays, which is nice if you want that note to gain more attraction!
Tried looking into that but lacking knowledge. From what I understand it always downloads the whole Json but you can set it up to just show the one name you request, the rest hidden. Might speed things up? But it needs the whole Json to verify afaik.
