Out of interest what's the current number of users? Also is there an embraced metric among the community? I see from primal ~570k users. Is that all time I wonder? In blockchain world unique active wallets is commonly used. When I look at UAW in the last 7 days the largest activity on any chain is ~1.1M (near protocol) but that's an outlier in the top 10 it averages out at about 300k UAWs (source: dappradar)

Personally I favour that control at a relay level. Certain data maybe better perishable by default. One of the things that attracted me to NOSTR was an impression of optionality of Permanence I.e. I could create relays to achieve Permanence but the notes were perishable within incomplete structures by design. I saw NOSTR as a treatment layer that could enable experiences that included Permanence.
