💯. Gut feelings are usually a sign that your subconscious is picking up signals from your senses that your conscious mind has not yet processed. Creating space and time is key to letting the conscious mind catch up.
In the helicopter world we teach people to respect this process when conducting operations such as an approach to a new landing zone. Many stories of it not “feeling right” followed by stopping the approach and then seeing the power lines you would have hit had you continued a minute later.
