All stocks trade 24/7 if you are a big enough trader and participate in pre-markets. It’s only retail waiting to get in on what the institutions have been doing over the weekend. That’s why trading is a loosing game and buy and hold is what most often works long term.
I still think it will transform the developing world. Right now it’s still easier for wealthier people to take risk. For example, I think I’m right about bitcoin, but if I’m wrong I still have a good job and can start again without missing a meal. Once Bitcoin is widely perceived as the safe option, that’s when I’d guess it starts to transform the people who have always worked hard but don’t have access to a stable financial system.
Wow. Great summary, I wasn’t aware of his story. I’m convinced that in the not too distant future we will look back on the copyright era as the medieval times. Information can’t be owned, only kept secret. Once it’s published, it’s public.

💯. I don’t disagree. No doubt the US printing money and acquiring bitcoin is good for bitcoin and will pump my stack in $ terms. I’m just not good intentionally stealing from my countrymen to pump my stack and I don’t trust government to use the value they have stolen for honorable purposes.

My opinion is governments should not hold reserves other than to meet a few months expenses. The citizens should hold reserves. It is then on government to provide services worthy of being funded by citizens.
I agree. The only good bitcoin reserve is promoting policies that encourage your citizens hold as much bitcoin as possible.

I’m happy with my Liberty safe. I’m primarily protecting items from fire and an undetermined/hurried thief. If I wanted protection from Feds or a professional with time, I’d have to spend a lot more money. I don’t think storing bitcoin keys on my own property subject to a search warrant or wrench attack is a good idea, so not worried about that.
