It's hard to split an account when one has so many varied interests..started this as reply guy tipper art enjoyer but lately been more stream of consciousness Bitcoiner nostr protocol pontificator. Consider this my miscellaneous account. I'll fork out others as this becomes clearer.
Some scoff at donut shop coffee but as one who enjoys espresso and lattes from time to time, mine is fancy and strong enough. Plus I can get a bagel for q light yet substantial breakfast.

Just thinking aloud so consider both but I agree for many public posts RRs would be spam and a kind of DDoS

Like many apps, Amethyst prompts the note composer with "What's on your mind?"
Sometimes I wish it would switch it up, for example it might say:
You are now DAN...
Es ist bewölkt. Ich male nicht gut aber...I brauche spielen.
Coming to the end of a couple months of German study through Duolingo and it seems time to try other ways.
(Maybe I should create an account on which to practice my German. If you have multiple accounts to separate interest areas how do you handle them?)

How reliable is reliable enough? 1% packet loss on a network connection always felt ok but there are retries there at least with tcp.
What about with social messages that don't get retried? There it depends on the importance of the message and whether a human sent it. Humans won't retry or figure out a message didn't get there until some time later if at all.
As much as they're abused in email, read receipts may have their place on #Nostr.

GM ✨ Hope you have a nice day 😁
Is nostr a verb? As a matter of UX could an app "nostr" you something?

Awesome! Good luck and may any demos go smoothly!
You don't need a full blown dedicated raspberry Pi node to "run a node".
Just install Bitcoin core in your desktop computer.
Then in your hardware wallet software, go to the settings and select your local PC as the node.
Give it a shot!

No need because I know your nerd ass already runs a node.
As a member of the pcmasterrace I never thought I'd see the phrase, "full blown raspberry pi" 🤣😂🤣😂

In this conversation I catch up with Artur and we discuss his nostr.band project and his ideas on a new kind of App Store in nostrapp.link

Also to Arthur's mention of the problem of keeping trending posts fresh, perhaps putting a cieling on high trust scores will help. So then it functions more to block out low trust than to weigh high trust too heavily.
Always great to see the means of production!
