What exactly happens when I block an account on #Amethyst? Seems to persist per user but I'm not clear on if that into gets sent to relays in some form.
Report is different in that it's supposedly public but also curious about the kind there.

What is the cost per user for Nostr? This is the cost of all the relays divided by the fraction of relays the average user connects to.
Thinking about whether free relays will last or will go away as the expense grows.
My experience is bounties don't work. It's better to put out a description for a small amount of work, like a day or two's worth and then accept bids. Perhaps if you can put out a compelling case for the work and include a fee for yourself it might get funded on geyser.

This website Nostr.band does a lot of statistics on Nostr and they have one which is trending profiles. They provide this by API so wrote a script that puts it in note form. You're on the list so here we are.
The big question is do you know why? Evidently it has to do with getting a lot of followers faster than others today.

ActivityPub is push so it's more an issue with having a lot of followers, but it's one of those things where systems need to be upgraded and scaling solutions tried. A few months ago people like Kathy Griffin and George Takei went over as part of a Twitter exodus and things seemed to hold up ok.
To me the fediverse is pretty all encompassing, not all using AP, a decent proving ground, just not quite with the youth and ease of development of Nostr which is arguably part of the same decentralized gestalt.
