Wealth based systems are the future. #Bitcoin is the foundation for wealth based financial capital. Critical thinking is required. Bitcoin class of 2017.

How is your relationship with your mother?...

Today's sign that our economy is doing well. Collection Agencies are paying checks to their clients, and those checks are bouncing. Because the collection agency doesn't have sufficient capital in the account to cover the check.

My notes and replies are not generated by an algorithm or bot. I'm a "real boy", using the language of Pinocchio. If my feed has some good stuff that people want to see, they'll follow me. If it doesn't have enough, they won't. That's on them.

I'm a Bitcoin believer, but not a Maxi. I have other coins and tokens, mostly staking and generating a revenue stream. I also buy and sell stocks and funds on Wall Street, again trying to generate a revenue stream so I can pay my expenses and buy more Bitcoin with the excess.

I avoid posting about political stuff on Nostr because it's a double edged light saber. My political issue positions are ... complicated.

When the main client I use includes private groups, that's when focusing content based on the audience that really wants to see it. Until then, I don't see anything wrong with posting what I'm doing on my main feed. It's who I am, what I'm doing, and I don't feel like shying away from it or hiding it.

I do appreciate feedback, always. I might not like it, I may love it, but it's all welcome. We're here to learn from each other and interact with each other. That's what social media is for. It's how a community operates and grows.

I'm just using Primal right now, and they haven't implemented groups yet. I appreciate the feedback, though. I would love for there to be a way to focus the audience, and maybe a separate npub would be a way to do that.

I'm 100% sure we can. But this is not about us, the people who are already here. This is about the 99.9% of people in the world who are not here yet.

The answer to your first question depends on your viewpoint. The vast majority of people see the US Federal Government as an umbrella over the top of the states and municipal governments, protecting us from the storms. That metaphor works during wars and disasters, but it is not how the founders originally saw things.

The Founders saw the Federal government as a foundational layer beneath everything providing support, common ground and common understanding while the states were the leading organizations that were building a new nation state out of an empty continent. Of course that wasn't true, but that's how they saw it.

People who complain about 'big government' are seeing an umbrella as a force of suppression preventing individuals from doing what they want with their property. They would rather face the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune. The problem is that as they work to remove the umbrella over their heads, they are also succeeding in removing the foundation under their feet, and we are starting to sink. The reason why is because metaphors don't work very well.

I was in politics for years. I have had my viewpoints and opinions challenged, tested and solidified based on decades of observation, reading centuries worth of evidence in all kinds of subjects. I've studied the history of civilization going back 10,000 years, and speculated about the future of civilization going out tens of thousands of years. Some scifi is encouraging, some is not. But there are lessons to be learned from both.

My opinion? The world we build depends not on our technology or our tools, but on our willingness to work together in pursuit of peace OR our desire to work separately in pursuit of power. Are we here to protest what we don't like, or to contest what we don't like by building something better? Decentralization is coming, yes. And whether that leads to a civilization that reaches for the stars or a planet that will disappear when Sol expands to our orbit depends entirely on us.

I was contacted out of the blue by someone I had a very small interaction with in a political campaign (from across the country) back in 2016. She is part of an entrepreneur family that is selling a product called Den-Dry. It's a special fabric layer that goes under mattresses and in the RV, Boat and Tiny Houses markets, preventing the buildup of moisture that can lead to mold and mildew.

They are doing a Wefunder campaign to build up the capital needed for their next expansion after 5 years of organic growth. I started talking about small business capital reserves being held in Bitcoin as described by Drew D'Agostino in his Small Business Guide is a great start.

My friend from the Den-Dry team also looked into the Wefunder site and found that back in 2016 they started accepting Bitcoin from people trying to invest in startups. She's going to check to see if that is still true.

She also found that Shopify allows companies to accept Bitcoin through BTCPay. She is going to see what it will take to hook that into their website, so they can sell their Den-Dry products to people around the world who are living off grid or in areas where Bitcoin is starting to build circular economies.

Here is their website if you want to take a look at their product:

Yeah, i did. I never joined BS, glad I didn't.

Jack deleted his Bluesky account, and it got a lot of publicity. Now that there is a bridge, he didn't need the extra account anyway. 😉
