If you're on the web version, just refresh or close / reopen.
If on the android version, try here: https://github.com/MutinyWallet/mutiny-web/releases/tag/v0.4.14-2
Try a 5k withdraw on the new version and see if that goes through.
Are you having trouble making payments with that version as well? Any particular destinations? We have heard it is better for most people.
Your logs helped us identify a major source of routing issues. If you'd be willing to try the latest version and let us know how it goes or send more logs if it fails, that would be really helpful.
Note: you can't do a complete lightning balance spend. There's 1% lightning reserve limits that we have to do a better job of communicating, got a few fixes around that on the way soon.
So you just had one channel and that channel is still opened? The settings should show channels if you want to double check.
I just received a solid amount of #bitcoin in my on-chain nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg wallet that isnโt mine
If someone can confirm sat amount and TXID I will immediately return to sender.
Is it possible it's from one of your channels closing?
Yes, there's a couple proof of concepts we have experimented with. Hopefully something within the next few months.
nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg is night and day more reliable at routing payments with this newest release. Well done, dudes ๐ค
Glad to hear, appreciate that!
If it says mutiny is already running, close the app and wait 2 minutes. Also make sure it is not running on another computer.
Firefox should have the import file option. It's in emergency tool in the settings page.
Oh yeah, that's because they have a proprietary way to probe those wallets. Not an issue for mutiny.
Not sure why that would be a problem, it's all one lightning network.
Still occasionally happens, though far less than when we originally launched. 10k sat fee if you're receiving the channel open, only normal on chain fees if you deposit on chain and open a channel yourself.
You should be able to restore with the recovery time too. Seed is in there. Let us know if there's any issues around that.
Hey nostr:npub1mayqdaq0sd5f4uexa6aky3agr982vhqs3rw7qwm6yr9h5zetdg4q4shl50 why not work/collab with nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg , nostr:npub1hcwcj72tlyk7thtyc8nq763vwrq5p2avnyeyrrlwxrzuvdl7j3usj4h9rq , and Phoenix Wallet? Would make this very quick in terms of getting cards created =3
NFC has pretty bad support on the web, would have to be constrained to the native apps.
I had noticed after the splicing update fees were getting higher on Phoenix wallet, so I finally got around to testing a couple new options.
---
First up is Mutiny wallet, I'm really liking it! The Android APK is working well now if you happen to be on that OS.
I tested sending lightning payments up to 1M, using Alby, WoS, and Zeus with Olympus LSP as receiving wallets. They all worked. Fees were reasonable, ranging from 11-25 sats for the 1M sat transfers.
---
I also set up the Zeus integrated lightning node, Olympus. I like the Zeus interface, I use it as a front end for Alby on my phone.
Zeus had trouble sending larger payments. I wasn't able to send over 250K in my tests today, once again testing with WoS, Alby, and Mutiny as receiving wallets. Fees were a bit higher as well, 84 sats consistently for a 250K transfer.

nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg and nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 are still in beta, so your mileage may vary, here be dragons, etc. Both are much better in respect to fees than Phoenix is currently. I have decently large channels open in both now, so I will be able to continue testing more in the future. I can't wait to see what they build going forward!
#lightning #bitcoin
Great to hear, and thanks for trying us out! We just made some improvements to sending payments so it is good to see that it's working.
Would love to help out. In most cases restoring from seed words should fix everything but want to know why this happened.
If you're willing, here's a good place to open up and issue and submit logs. https://github.com/MutinyWallet/mutiny-web/issues
We launched back in July, no waiting list needed anymore .
Silly question but how does Damus wallet connect work with nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg ?
Copy and paste the connection in and then select default wallet so if I zap it comes from mutiny? If I receive a zap does it go there too?
You can connect your mutiny wallet with damus but it's for sending only for awhile.
Just released Mutiny 0.4.14-2
We have started running our own rapid gossip sync server with 1 hour syncing instead of 24 hours. This should help cut down on some payment failures we were seeing when it came to outdated channel fees.
https://github.com/MutinyWallet/rapid-gossip-sync-server
There's still plenty of improvements to make with payment reliability in Mutiny but we appreciate all the patience and logs.
Refresh your web app / pwa or get the android version here: https://github.com/MutinyWallet/mutiny-web/releases/tag/v0.4.14-2
nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg, any chance we could get the ability to scan a qr code to connect to Mutiny? None of my mobile browsers are compatible (or maybe it's a GrapheneOS issue?) so I connected Amethyst to Mutiny via scanning a qr code on my desktop
Confused by what specifically you're asking for. We do have QR code scanning for nostr wallet connect.
For chrome on graphene, follow the vanandium instructions here. https://github.com/MutinyWallet/mutiny-web/wiki/Browser-Compatibility#known-issues-include
People experience that their LN channel on nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg is getting force closed? Cost me like 8000 sats and now I have to swap from onchain til LN again.
Please provide logs and information so we can take a look. https://github.com/MutinyWallet/mutiny-web/issues
