Good answer. I am now curious what accounts are the “suggested” account when someone new joins nostr via one of the top clients.

I know user discovery is one of the biggest roadblock for newcomers. You’ve given me the idea to experiment to see what a non-bitcoin nostr feed looks like by starting a new account

It is a good time to reflect. Why are we here? What is the correct path forward?

Stay humble, and build.

Don’t just build apps. Build community.

Bitcoin may be the economic engine for Nostr. However, it does not need to play a front-and-center role. Just as email clients do not advertise they are “powered by SMTP”, nostr apps do not need a mention of bitcoin (or even nostr for the matter.)

All users need to know is their npub and nsec. Everything else must be invisible to the user unless they are curious to learn more. nostr:note1h4p5zvdn98gkqdandm7j00f3v5m4nr3wg5yspa8xre8hrcppxgkqv03t4m

From what I heard he likes surfing there and also loves the pura vida message. Bitcoin jungle played a huge role too since they were located at the venue Awake

More importantly we need FOSS community-driven training data so we get to decide what an “aligned” model is. Or else the elites will “align” it to themselves.

Haha bitcoin is always making moves up or down

They’re already dumbing down chatgpt’s legal abilities.. so only the elites can have access to good legal advice

No, I think even adding that phrase is detrimental. No one needs to know. It doesn’t need to be advertised. No email client ever says “powered by SMTP”.

It will be obvious to those who need to know, invisible to those who don’t.

To your point, I think we need something even more:

Clients for specific communities.

There could be look and act like normal websites without ever using the word “nostr”.

Nostr is the invisible layer. We should design apps to connect humans with each other.

Just as no one knows what SMTP is (but uses it every day), most people will never know what “nostr” is. But they will use it every day.
