In order for us to to achieve the full vision of Nostr we need it to be for everybody, not just the current bitcoiner community.

nostr:nprofile1qqs8d3c64cayj8canmky0jap0c3fekjpzwsthdhx4cthd4my8c5u47sprpmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujucm4wfex2mn59en8j6f0qy2hwumn8ghj7unnwvhxummn9eek7cmfv9kz7qgkwaehxw309ajkgetw9ehx7um5wghxcctwvshsfml8dl recently gave a talk at Nostrasia, diving into how we're tackling this. It's not just about adding new features; it's about creating a space where everyone feels they belong and can share their voice without worry.

We're exploring community-managed moderation because we believe the best people to understand what's appropriate for a community are its members. It's about giving you the tools to help keep things friendly and respectful.

If you're curious about the specifics or want to hear our thoughts on balancing safety with diverse community norms, take a look at nostr:nprofile1qqs8d3c64cayj8canmky0jap0c3fekjpzwsthdhx4cthd4my8c5u47sprpmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujucm4wfex2mn59en8j6f0qy2hwumn8ghj7unnwvhxummn9eek7cmfv9kz7qgkwaehxw309ajkgetw9ehx7um5wghxcctwvshsfml8dl 's full talk here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pGZ2epF8ZY

i'd like to see a picture of the one that happened about 40,000 years ago that x-rayed the earth, sterilising australia and antarctica, and led to the genetic mutation for white skin/red/blonde hair and lactose tolerance after weaning.

that would be epic. literally the spark that lit the human race to its modern form.

wouldn't he want us to all drive overweight SUVs and be 50lb overweight and not ever stop driving these things, put a sleeper in the back and just drive drive drive, never live anywher, eat artificial meat burgers at fuel stops because it produces 10x as much CO2 due to all the purifications required to make the materials.

uh, no. gates wants to murder people by remote control for throwing a pie at him. by the millions, if possible.

ok this is ecology i can agree with.

i did eventually get used to the nodding after a year in prison, and then not long after that i'm back outside bulgaria and adjusting back to "normal" and omg lol.

the cult of "eko" is not something i want to have anything to do with. i saw way too much of it when i was back in australia, i had already figured out that veganism is a scam to sell GMO food a decade ago and i'm more sure of that now than ever. and energy efficiency, oh, there's a practical side to it, but what we see being implemented is just a way of them making more money while you get used to living on less and less until you are scratching around in the dirt, middle ages style eating oats and bloated bellies and endless infectious diseases.

the movement has always been constantly harrassed. just read about the blocksize war and the dirty tricks, smears, and various tactics that have been tried. as a Go programmer i see the marks of manipulation all over the codebases of various bitcoin and lightning related things too.

the reason why bitcoin survives is because it has to, and this is a bulwark upon which more things are being built and we are creating a refuge for the righteous and it's not about adoption, it's about giving the people who see through the financialising fiat slavery game and want to get out of it, and in doing so, are helping others who also want to do so.

they tried to fork bitcoin a thousand times, and there is still one bitcoin. the rules got set in stone by about 2012 and they will not change, and it will still be possible to replicate valid blocks even with a sub 16 version, probably forever.

but the physical places, bro, if you are still in a big Western city, you are half asleep and complacent and are still not getting it.

haha, kazanlak is such a funny word... literally means 'pot onion'. the latinisation is terrible, we have the ъ sound in english but it's considered to be "pronunciation" and it's endlessly confusing when you are with people from other regions who "speak english" and their use of the er maluk is in different parts of the word and then i get all conscious and try to use their pronunciation so i don't confuse them.

i just wish i could be on a farm. i'm so sick of being jammed in a place with the noises of the bisy backsons always drilling at my eardrums.

just sitting here writing my previous post and as i'm finished the endless chorus of screaming, wailing children rises again from the gaps in my bedroom walls.

i can't get anything done with those fucking noises in my ears. it's not possible for me to not be provoked into irritation and it triggers my phobia like crazy.

i hated school, except when it was quiet and i was reading and writing things i was learning. in highschool the moment i was done eating i was in the library, and physical education was the most tormenting time i ever spent in my days at school.

all i hear in their voices is the sound of bullies tormenting everyone else and enforcing their will on the others, and the others being there without their will completely helpless to do anything to escape the torment.

and then if i go out to my balcony and look at what is physically going on while all this horrible wailing is going on, i see nonstop chasing and fighting and squealing and usually a few little quiet ones sitting in the corner for a minute before some asshats come and jostle them.

hate school. hate hate hate.

it always amuses me when people mistake me for eastern european.

i was born in australia, but my father's family name, although dutch/west german in the near term of history, is also a quite well known russian name. it was a gradual process that i eventually discovered my affinity with slavic culture, but i can point back to so many examples of people who i got along best with... bosnian, slovenian, montenegrin, serbian, macedonian, bulgarian, russian... my best buddy on the street in amsterdam was from moscow, half ukrainian. first person i am talking to at a meetup here in madeira. lithuanian.

i miss the place so much, but it's been going down hill so fast in the last 10 years since i first landed in sofia. almost all the things that made it better are now degraded to european standart.

one of the last bastions of decent food and culture in europe now is Bosnia. no surprise that the place was the centre of the orchestrated color revolution and has one of the biggest comcen complexes of the american military, it must be at least 3 acres there in sarajevo. it also is consistent with my perception that the biggest struggle the Empire has is with subduing the stubborn slavs and arabs, who hold to their ancient traditions harder than anyone else in the world.

i'm australian, but i'm not going to advertise that and i don't consider it to be relevant where on the planet i was born, since my father was from dutch and swiss/indonesian parents born in indonesia, my mother's family traces back to scottish/welsh/english convicts in australia, and the place is such a hellhole, it was a hellhole when i was 4 years old, and has turned into a real life dystopian hellscape these days, i pity my poor mother, sister and her daughters to be stuck in that soul destroying place.

but there's one thing i've learned over this last decade living in europe. there's no place safe on this planet from the grasping, manipulating hands of toxic evil psychopaths, and everyone is just accepting the endless escalation of their enfeeblement and yes, that's probably why i seem like a slav - because i'm congenitally orthodox, i believe in being upright and good and that injustice should be fought in whatever way you can manage. i loved watching the covert resistance of bulgarians, and i see even here in madeira something of the same spirit, but a lot more squashed than it was in yugoslavia and bulgaria.

the darkest chapter of our betrayal is still in process, but we must hold tight and fight back as much as we can, and most importantly, stay sane and healthy, in spite of all the confusion and degradation being pushed on us.

you probably realise that most people are so dumb that they read that as though it was safety instructions on the side of a toilet wall.

cold baths at the same time as keto flu maybe not haha.

but most of the health problems are directly from the food and drugs.

i've never felt healthier than i am right now for like a decade, and i'm just drinking yoghurt and a bit of cacao and milk, rucking and doing my stretches.

madeira is about 1000km southwest of portugal.

i am not spending my money on most of the EU blessed garbage the same as what i was buying in bulgaria. if i could get bosnian food, that would be a different story, but nothing i want to have isn't bulky and needing refrigeration, ie milk, kaimak, white cheese, fresh beef and lamb. all the package products are full of additives and garbage that makes my teeth go crazy and fucks up my nervous system and digestion.

i would presume, since the odds are pretty high, that you live in sofia, or if not, in plovdiv or varna. i've lived in small towns in bulgaria, and in novi sad in serbia and in sarajevo. the best food i've seen since i was a small child was in bosnia.

the rest of europe i am walking past the shelves and vitrina and just saying to myself "poison, poison, poison, poison, oh, look, more poison" it's extremely depressing.

не, това е лош български от мой мозик, аз живеех там за около пет години, най много в софия.

имам специална клавитура която аз програмирах за да писвам по бързо. в 2021 година работил във варна. съжелавам че мой български не е добър.

not gonna find any anything, if you didn't understand what i said, there isn't even normal butcher stores here in Madeira. There is the meat section in supermarkets and then there is these places that mainly are just slicing up beef to stick on giant skewers to roast over coals on a fire, they call it "espetada". and just like in bulgaria, most of it is nasty young veal, not beef at all, it's hard to find beef anywhere. it really bothers me because i'm from australia and beef is easy to find there, and is generally decent quality.

this isn't the mainland. i have seen bulgarian shops in amsterdam and romanian ones in cambridge where i used to live. there's barely even foreign themed restaurants, a few indian places, the obligatory chinese places, some turkish places and brazillian/argentinian, but i doubt much of that lovely beef is coming in here except to supply those places.

Madeira these days seems mostly geared towards the tourist industry and most of the businesses here are about that. getting real food here requires spending a lot more time inland from the coastline and learning better portuguese, and there is a lot of goat and sheep milk production for cheese, for some reason (probably because these animals do well on this rugged terrain) and aside from that a lot of bananas and various miscellaneous fruit crops, there is a few cattle farmers, i've been told by locals, but they are hard to find, most of the beef and dairy production nearby is in the Azores.

xapo works with a rooted phone but revolut doesn't. no idea about custom roms, i would assume no root no problem.
