Will there be a point where we start to freeze the protocol?
Holy crap! How are we already at NIP-95? I just realized I need to give the protocol specs another read through.
Bitcoin node and Gitea are my most used.
Just had a new idea of a server service I should run for myself. Pi is already maxed out. Now I have to buy another computer and SSD.
If you don’t own the relay, there is no force, only suggestion. It’s someone else’s property so you can ask them, but not force them, to do something with it.
I don’t think Apple has sold new macOS versions for more than a decade.
There is no way to stop the information from being spread to anyone or archived for any amount of time. Changing the information or the author becomes impossible though.
I’m selling my Bitcoin, the world of tomorrow after inflation is going to be awesome!
It’s information. Anyone can access and repeatedly copy it. The wonderful part about Nostr is that you can always prove cryptographically who sent the message.
Honestly didn’t know people still drank mead or that you could have tastings. Very cool!
At least you didn’t do that with your bitcoin node a few days after it finished syncing.
Phew, I’m starting to believe that you’re human again.
Concerts are amazing.
Thanks to Kim Iversen for having me on last night, to talk about how a member of congress is threatening me with prison time: https://youtu.be/8qR2AQhPnpE
Never stop doing your work brother. Speaking truth to power is always going to get a reaction from the power.
Btw Damus is a one of dozens of clients available for Nostr.
My apologies, I should have made myself more clear. I understand the relationship between the client and wallet. Even if you managed to turn on minimum zap amounts I could still copy your LNURL, go to my wallet, and spam you without using a Nostr client. My point is that this is a wallet problem not a client problem.
While you may use different wallets the same can also be true for clients.
Finally, the error would not come from failing to retrieve an invoice but when you sent the zap and the wallet sent back an informative response like “This user has a minimum amount of 20 sats.”
If you don’t want to receive them at all why not disable on the wallet level? If small zaps aren’t allowed in a Nostr client that still doesn’t stop people from sending you small amounts of sats. The only way to stop that is to reject those transactions at the wallet level.
New idea for OnlyZaps mode.
Turns off likes on your client and signals that to everyone else on the network. Instead of not allowing others to like your posts their clients get to choose how they handle that message. They could not show reactions on OnlyZap enabled notes, they could continue to, or show a warning when they react.
