Yeah... I am going to have to relearn tagging though. As long as the UI presents the data I want to see in a readable way I'm happy. I spend most of my time in the terminal so the modern fascination with large round buttons hasn't reached me.

Finally figured out and set up Gossip by @nostr:npub1acg6thl5psv62405rljzkj8spesceyfz2c32udakc2ak0dmvfeyse9p35c on my desktop. The UI is unapologetically bad, but it's still a fantastic client with a ton of features that matter. Can't wait to watch it improve.

What benefit do you see from only using a laptop? I can’t deal with the limited screen size so I always hook it up to an external monitor.

Yikes. Google definitely has a thing against privacy. Don’t they realize many people rely on Tor to not be surveilled by their government?

I set up Tor on my laptop for all my internet traffic. It’s amazing how much Google hates Tor. They just serve up endless Captchas until you go away.

Very true. Just because something is open source doesn’t mean it’s good. What you may be missing is when you combine an extremely good free speech protocol and open source you get a killer product.

To all the builders on Nostr, the sad part about your brain is that a single criticism will outweigh multiple compliments. I’d like to help balance out that ratio.

True, but it pretends to have its own science and technology. Dune may be the greatest sci-fi series but it’s also not really based on our current science and technology.

Why do you say that? I think of fantasy as more Lord of the Rings style.
