Especially if you are new to Linux I wouldn't directly recommend vanilla Debian. Zorin OS, Pop_OS! or Linux Mint Debian Edition (if you want to have a Debian base instead of Ubuntu) are much better to get started. I've had good experience with Zorin OS on a laptop for an acquaintance.

Because you are new to Linux you aren't aware of what decisions Linux Mint have been making, and why I'm recommending the Debian Edition. They made a stance against a piece of technology coming from Ubuntu directly (Snap packages) and even are proactively resisting users trying to install it manually (or so I've heard).

This shouldn't come as a surprise, the only promise they made was that they won't store cookies and browsing history πŸ€”

You could also try Fedora based Nobara, a gaming orientated distro.

I've been daily driving #Linux since ~2010, starting with Ubuntu. Then I've been distro hopping for a few years since Unity/Gnome3 and settled for a few years on #Solus. After that I've hopping again with #Fedora and now I'm on #NixOS with #BudgieDesktop βœŒοΈπŸ™‚

Personally I'm more of a Pornhub guy myself 😏

That's a rather rigorous solution (thou very effective)!

Hey nostr:npub1awyzkzaktxlhyg6syzst3pxy5lvp0c908yphz4ekk9rp3zcapp5qxn79n4,

Great that you are giving #Nostr another chance.

I'm a long time listener to most of your shows. And I would like to run an #IPFS node to help with your own CDN πŸ’ͺ😎

When your that old, aren't you automatically a pedophile with whoever you go out with? πŸ€”
