Verification is needed, hopefully by trusted peers, as they say “don’t trust, verify”. Also I’d imagine this is KYC compliant. As far as fluid exchange, I don’t trust exchanges and hold my own keys. 🤙
Good luck, I’ve been trying to convince my closer homies for years. I wish I had an answer. Ultimately they need to do the research and come to the bitcoin conclusion on their own, I guess I’d recommend gentle nudges in general.
This hurts my brain a bit. If you take the cost of energy consumption out, the miners could still do the pow but the search to find the cheapest energy source wouldn’t exist. The incentive to mine would still be for rewards and mining would need to exist for the chain to live on. The other properties of money which bitcoin meets should stay unaffected right? 🤯
