> SSRIs stored in fat

> IT HAS BEEN MORE THAN A FUCKING YEAR SINCE I HAVE BEEN OFF THE SHIT

the drug is long since out of your system. the issue is twofold. that some medications (antidepressants are one of them) tend to cause long term changes in your brain. this is how they work after all

the second issue is specific to SSRIs and often not known by medical professionals. they work by inducing epigenetic changes (ie long term regulation of gene expression). some of those changes will revert quickly but some will take many years or may even be with you for life

> but they had the code and could have given it

did you have a subpoena? :smug_miku: so many of the complaints seemed to amount to "you gave info to the cops" as though there's an expectation they should break the law on your behalf

what's actually crazy is that they retained a code but didn't (apparently) widely advertise this fact

I want 32 GB for AI =) The models are usually around 20GB alone . Let me reprice for AMD

> The worst effects appear to be cost and run off.

this was my understanding as well. particularly runoff I'm aware can be quite bad but at least that can theoretically be addressed (usually isn't because cost cutting). and anyway I keep coming back to, how are we feeding everyone without this? because an option that involves "lol get rekt you can starve" isn't really an option

nostr:npub16uk4yyw47haxwl0klhh7lcx3qatkyqmpc6gc4hwru3qedaeuueeqqkpv7k what you wrote there isn't a meme. but what you wrote before was

this is a somewhat different angle than I've heard from the other people who I've engaged with on this topic. a few questions

* why can't periodically withholding nitrogen fertilizer solve this

* why can't these microorganisms be bread to withstand the nitrogen

* how are you proposing to feed the current world population without the use of nitrogen fixation

nostr:npub16uk4yyw47haxwl0klhh7lcx3qatkyqmpc6gc4hwru3qedaeuueeqqkpv7k

> Which the mounting evidence suggests that it is.

don't mistake me for someone who denies the actual science. I object to the politics. unfortunately the science itself is increasingly politicized

my read of "the mounting evidence" is that at this point things are going to be changing one way or another and we're just along for the ride. I give it good odds that the permafrost goes and makes all of our efforts to curb carbon emissions look like a drop in the bucket

> feeling threatened by the progressive left

indeed, I do feel quite threatened. by people who to me appear violently ignorant and have an ideological axe to grind. the far left has become some sort of weird state based religion that goes to great lengths pretending it isn't one and I don't like it one bit

nostr:npub16uk4yyw47haxwl0klhh7lcx3qatkyqmpc6gc4hwru3qedaeuueeqqkpv7k

> dead soil

GOD DAMMIT STOP IT WITH THE DUMB MEMES. if there's a quantifiable issue with the soil then articulate the specific problem! and explain why it can't be fixed

and I will once again accuse you of not having stopped to run the numbers. nitrogen fixation is highly energy intensive. people haven't been doing it all this time just for the lulz

nostr:npub16uk4yyw47haxwl0klhh7lcx3qatkyqmpc6gc4hwru3qedaeuueeqqkpv7k

> uranium mining isn't carbon neutral

again, synthetic petroleum. or EVs. whatever. take pretty much any process that isn't carbon neutral. it's the inputs. switch those and it's neutral

> Cost of new plants is staggering.

they don't have to be. nuclear gets hung up a lot with politics and bureaucracy. just look at all the "complexity" of dealing with waste (in reality it's fairly straightforward minus the politics)

> In many places like AU, a solar grid makes sense with hydrogen/battery/pumped hydro for storage.

ok then do that as well? I'm not opposed. whatever works. I'm just perplexed by the opposition to a workable solution that LITERALLY SOLVES ALL OF THE SUPPOSED PROBLEMS :not_like_this:

> Biofuel destroys it.

so use direct air capture. at this point I have to ask, are you even bothering to read (and think about) what I write?

the far left is verifiably wrong on this stuff. increasingly the only conclusions I can come to are willful ignorance and malice. I lean towards malice since it really appears to be an attempt to further a political agenda to reshape society in various ways

> Nitrogen can't be 'managed'.

once again, you need to stop and actually run the numbers. not just parrot lines you've been fed by the media. nitrogen fixation is an essential part of modern life. a substantial fraction of the world population would perish if we discontinued its use. to the best of my knowledge we are well past the carrying capacity of the planet without it

I'll also note that for someone so worried about the expansion of farmland (your objection to biofuel) it's interesting that you're also opposed to nitrogen fertilizers given that they very significantly increase productivity per unit area

> > kill soil

> see above re biodiversity. Your wrong, it can't be fixed.

:blobcat: you're wrong

:blobfox: no, you're wrong!

:blobcat: no, YOU'RE wrong!

do you think this sort of response leads anywhere productive? my honest opinion at this point is that you blindly believe empty talking points that you see in the media and don't bother to actually learn about the subjects at hand

I'll grant you that there are also plenty of people who hold opposing political views to yours who agree with you on this particular point. I also (currently) believe them to be wrong. I'm open to learning but I've yet to encounter a convincing explanation for why it's an inevitable outcome and why it can't be fixed

anyway, it's irrelevant. as I previously noted we've all got to eat and the only solution I'm aware of for that is modern agriculture (unless your goal is to kill off a substantial portion of the population)

> If that's 'far left' then fuck you, enemy.

good luck with that :02_laugh:
