Oh I forgot the VPN blockade that legacy internet companies have. So in order to even interact with the legacy "wallet" app, I need to forgo my privacy and security.

For the equivalent of a zap (we know how easy it is), I have to login to my custodial "wallet" account, which has logged me out for some reason.
The login requires a password that I must fetch from my password manager.
Then I need to 2fa, so I need to copy and paste the pin.
Then I can proceed with the payment, which requires me to login again (now in the web), which sends me another 2fa code (the transaction's 2fa code) that I need to copy and paste.
Cards (Visa/Mastercard) are easier but still have their frictions. Not to mention the extremely bad and unsafe pull-based model, in contrast to cash and Bitcoin.

I don't recommend cashu for big amounts either, since it's custodial, and you never know. But what if you're the custodian?
For example, I onboard people with my own mint: I create and send nuts, bundled in a PWA. The other person receives sats in less than a minute with no prior bitcoin experience. I explain the trust model and that they can withdraw it thru LN whenever they want.
I probably could do something similar with fedi and mutiny? I am not sure, and I don't trust a federation yet. And it's not straightforward (or possible at all) to run my own like I do my mint.
