This guy is entertaining!

Not too be pessimistic but I see two problems. One can be overcome.
The first one is that it is newer slower and buggy at times depending on the clients. A little more effort is required to onboard new users and all this can be overcome with time and development.
The second is that curated dopamine hits addicting users doesn't appear to be apart of the philosophy of those developing nostr. I think this might be possible if nostr clients niche out and become entertaining, educational, and life changing to small groups but will not likely become individually massive.
First time robbing the hive of honey. Learned to not extract honey outside. I think the bees want it back.

Was it unrestricted warfare? I believe it was written by a Chinese colonel.

First time growing potatoes. Tried to do the grow them in a ring of field fence thing. The potatoes poped up quickly but I was unable to get wood chips around them properly. Then aphids ate the plants up. Even so we still got a pretty good amount of potatoes.
I'm going to try find some sawdust for next time. Might make it easier to much around the plants with the finer material. If anyone else has suggestions I'd appreciate them.

People tend to not ask questions they don't want the answers to. Billionaires might find out the businesses that make their billions shorten their lifespan.
Compost pile is still hot. Wondering how long is going to take. I don't think I initially had enough water in it.

Not an expert... but for us it was a couple of weeks between finding the emerged queen cell before we found eggs.
Lil man helped check the hive today. Everything is going well with the new queen. He was determined not to waste a single drop off honey.

My daughter asked to put in her own garden this year. I provided seeds and wood chips. The rest is her own work. I think she's feeling a little pride. I don't think she's aware of the independence she's grabbing ahold of

The new queen is doing her job.

A chain gang just visited my firehouse...
Only it was comprised of 4 year olds velcroed to a leash.

2 piles become 1.5 started with wood chips and now it's looking more like dirt with chips. Temps still hitting about 150.

Just listened a presenation yesterday from these guys. Might help you on the crypto site: https://zaprite.com/
Square is going to be expensive you can do better using something else. I don't sell a lot with credit card so I use square but they take a good amount in fees. The lightning network is 1000 times cheaper to transact.
Zaprite is very interesting but I still have to subscribe to all the third party services. I'm still investigating it but it holds potential. Thanks for the info. Do you have any experience with it?
I'm thinking about setting up some kind of point of sale app to sell stuff were making and growing. Did anyone have recommendations for or against particular services such as square or something similar.
It would be cool if I could swipe someone's credit card and receive sats instead of dollars. Does this even exist?

Thanks for the feedback so if I wanna split I need three hives not 2? Is there a limit in the year where I should not split and wait until next year
Flipping 2 compost piles is good for a stiff back. Warms the muscles up and stretches them out.
On another note I'm not sure how much longer it's going to be until it's ready but it's starting to get hard to use a pitch fork and easier to use a spade. I started with wood chips.

My bees are making bees! After having no brood for weeks it was good to see new life in the hive.
These bees are very docile while also being very productive. I think I wanna keep these genetics. How would I go about splitting the hive?

The ibc tote is filled by rain water from the gutter. This is piped to the chicken waterers. Inside the waterer is a mini toilet float. That keeps the waterer full. Pic below.
There is an automatic door that opens and closes based on the amount of light outside so it self adjusts for the seasons. The chickens let themselves out in the morning and go in at night.
Now with the barrel acting as a massive hopper for the feeder I can put more than a months worth of feed in the barrel. All I have to do is pick up eggs every couple of days. Based on the temperature outside the eggs can sit for a little while.
