In light of the recent revelation that WotC chose to include artwork that was at least partially “AI”-generated in Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants, I will not buy that book or analyze any creature in it unless and until the art in question is replaced with entirely original art by a human artist.

WotC deserves all of the crap they get for this, but also, this makes me angry because the work, both of the other artists whose work is featured in the book, as well as the developers and designsers, are being overshadowed by THIS story.

The artist created original art and then did a pass to tweak a few items. A writer using Grammerly does the same thing. We don't call that generative AI

The artist did not use generative AI, but did do an editing run with an AI powered editor.
WotC stated that the commission was completed over a year ago (when very few were against generative AI) and that they are adjusting their contracts to forbid generative AI

Level Up A5e has massively boosted the amount of content available for upgraded D&D.
If you design for D&D then you'll find lots of mechanical support for previous vexing questions. It's so easy, even a schmo like me can do stuff. All about having the right tools. 😀
